“Dan I’m relying on your expertise.  If you think Drug Rehab is important I’ll make sure she attends the meetings.  Also I want her to continue to see you as her therapist on a weekly basis.  I think it would also help us if we saw you as a couple.  What do you think?” 

“Tina I’m glad you brought that up.  Bette is very concerned about how you’re going to react to what was said in the intervention.  When Bette sees you she might lash out at you.  She might say hurtful things to make you leave the room.  Just remember she’s scared.”

Tina asks another question.  “When can she have visitors?  Alice and Dana are in the waiting room.  Kit had to leave for work but she wants to see Bette in the morning.”

Dan answers.  “Bette is not ready for visitors.  Have them come back tomorrow morning.  Let Bette get a good night’s rest okay?”  (Dan puts his arm around Tina’s shoulder.)  “Tell Kit the morning will be fine.  Also, I’m going to have a session with Bette tomorrow at 10AM.  It’s only going to be for a half hour.  Then she can have all the visitors she wants.”  (Dan is smiling.)  “Tina I have to get back to the office.  If you need me for anything here’s my cell phone number.”  (Dan gives Tina a hug and shakes Mel’s hand before he leaves.)

Mel is pointing to the waiting room.  “Lets sit in the waiting room.”  Tina walks in and goes to Alice and Dana.  “Listen guys, Bette won’t be able to have visitors until tomorrow morning.  Could you guys pick up the burgers from Jack In The Box now that would be great?  Here’s the money Alice.”  (Tina hands Dana some more cash.) “Dana would you guys do me a favor and take Shane out to dinner with you.  You guys have been just so awesome.  Dinner is on me!  Please tell Shane I’ll call her later.”  Everybody hugs and then Alice and Dana leave.

Tina goes and sits next to Mel.  “Tina I’m having a meeting with Dave Hansen at 9:00pm tonight.  We’re going to go over the evidence we have accumulated.  I don’t know if you’re aware, but we have Terri’s address and cell phone number.  Earlier today we sent two detectives to her house to apprehend her.  She wasn’t home. Our next move is, we’re putting surveillance on her house around the clock.  Now I know you don’t want to hear this but we’re hoping Terri might try to contact Bette.  If Terri wants to meet with Bette, we’ll have undercover agents surrounding the location.  Bette will be protected.”
