In The Aftermath of Betrayal
Shane nearly laughed at the lack of conviction in Nikki’s words. “You can stop acting now. This isn’t some stupid scene in your movie, Nikki.” She snapped. “You never loved Jenny. You only loved what she could do for you.”
Nikki immediately began to argue. “No, that’s bullshit.”
Shane arched a brow. “Is it?” She questioned.
“Yes,” Nikki stepped forward. “It is. And why are you trying to put all of this on me? You were there too, Shane. You kissed me. You fucked me. This is just as much your fault as it is mine.” The comment had taken Shane aback and while she wanted nothing more than to argue that point, she knew she couldn’t.
Finally, after a thick silence had settled, Nikki sighed. “Let’s just call this a momentary lapse in judgment, okay?”
Shane nodded. “Yeah,” She agreed, turning to leave the girl alone. “On both of our parts.”
Jenny had one arm crossed over the other as she walked into the aggressive wind, hoping that the breeze would have triggered some kind of feeling within her. It did nothing. Her bun had become messing from the gusty winds and the tears that stained her cheeks passed as unfelt. Her mind raced with a million different thoughts, mainly involving Shane, and the pang that had been a constant ache in her heart since she had caught Shane and Nikki together had finally gone numb.
Jenny hated that familiar feeling of numbness.
She wanted to pinch herself, slap herself, anything that could have triggered a sort of stirring inside of her, but instead she just walked. She walked and she thought, mainly about Shane.
The chill in the wind helped to make her blood run cold, just as the rest of body felt. Jenny would have expected this behavior from anyone else, but not Shane. No, Jenny angrily wiped at her tears, not Shane. Shane was her best friend. Shane loved ….
Jenny could painfully remember only one other time that she had wanted to feel something, anything, as badly as she wanted to tonight. Carmen’s betrayal had driven her to cut. Shane’s betrayal could be driving her to do much worse.

I agree with bvhall, I’m not a Shenny fan, but this is well written and I think it has a lot of potential. Good job, looking fwd to the next chapter.
