Chapter 18

Ill help you finish the dinner, but you have to help me too, I cant do much with this hand. Tina says and holds up her broken arm, which is still in the cast. Yeah, Ill help. Bette says and smiles. So what do you need me to do She continues.
Well first, could you put up my hair? So it doesnt get into the food. Tina says, looking at Bette.
Sure thing, do you want a hair net? Bette says teasing Tina.
Bette. Absolutely not. She replies laughing.
Oh I think its kind of ***** Ill go and get a hair band, Ill be right back. Bette says and turns to walk away.
I have some in my purse. Tina says.
Bette finds them, and pick out a blue one.
She gathers all of Tinas hair and put it up in a ponytail.
I like your hair longer. Bette says as she tightens the ponytail.
Yeah? I like it too, can do more with you know, thank you. Tina says and turns around facing Bette. Now lets get to work. Tina says and gives Bette a quick kiss.
It didnt take Tina long to gain control of the kitchen, and before Bette could wink, Tina was finished. So Bette moved on to set the table.
They both take a seat and start their dinner.
Have you thought more about maybe go into teaching? Tina asks.
I have browsed the idea a few times but, not seriously. Bette answers.
I think you would be a great teacher. Tina says.
The idea is kind of growing on me, I do have to admit. Bette replies.
I think you should give it a try. Come with me to work tomorrow and talk to Oscar, he can show you around and tell you more about it. Tina says, looking at Bette to see her response.
Okay, Ill come. Bette replies, making Tina smile.
They finish their dinner, and goes into the living room, and they lay down on the couch in each others arms, turning on he TV and the CSI is on.
They quickly fall asleep.
Bette wakes up first at midnight.
Baby, wake up. Bette whispers in Tinas ear. She slowly opens her eyes, looking at Bette, then closes them again and cuddles into Bettes chest.
Baby, its midnight, lets go into our bed. Bette whispers again.
This time Tina opens her eyes widely, and gets up. So does Bette.
She grabs Tinas hand and escort her into the bedroom, helping her undress, and then into bed. They both are fast asleep, and dont not wakeup until the alarm goes off at 8 in the morning.
Baby, wake up, we over slept. Bette says and jumps out of bed.
She runs to Tinas side of the bed, get down on her knees, and gently rub her hand on Tinas bare shoulder.
Tina, baby, wake up. She continues. Tina is slowly opening her eyes.
Good morning. Tina says and smiles a tired smile.
Get up. Ill hit the showers first. You have to get up, were late. Bette says. Tina is now almost fully awake.
Oh *****! Tina says and jumps up. She looks at the clock and then relaxes and laughs a little.
Bette? Its only 8, Im not going in before 10. Tina says and walks over to Bette who stands in the doorway into the bathroom.
I thought you said that you started 9 today. Bette says and bows her head down. No baby, not today. Tina smiles and moves in close to Bette and place soft kiss on her lips.
Ill go and make breakfast, while you hit the shower. Bette says.
Okay, but you have to help me with the plastic bag on my cast.
Tina replies. Sure, not long before its off now. Bette says.
Nope, next week. And Im never breaking anything ever again, I also kind of need help with washing my hair. Tina smiles.
Bette helps Tina with her hair and the cast, and then walks into the kitchen and start to make breakfast. She has finally learned how to make pancakes, and to flip them without messing it up. They are not perfectly shaped, but at least the taste is the same, she thinks to herself and smiles.
The 15 minutes it took for Bette to make the pancakes, the same it took for Tina to finish her shower. She comes into the kitchen with her shirt unbuttoned.
Bette looks at her and smiles.
Yeah, I need some help here too. Tina says and laughs a little.
God, youre three. Bette teases. She helps with the buttoning.
And they take a seat at the table.
Wow, youre getting good, pancakes is now your specialty? Tina says and takes one on to her plate. And she tastes it.
Mmmm, its good. She continues and smiles.
They finish up, and drive down to the center.
Tina holds on to Bettes hand all the way into Oscars office.
Hi you two. Bette, nice to see you again. Oscar says as he stands up and walk around his desk and shakes Bettes hand.
Hey, Oscar, nice to see you too. Bette replies. And smiles at him.
Well, Ill leave you two to talk. Ill be in my office. Tina says and gives Bette a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving.
