Dana looked down and took a second before she said anything, “I have to leave for a while Al”.

Alice was confused, ” Of course you’d have to, Wimbledon isn’t exactly in L.A., Baby was that your problem? That’s not a problem baby, a few weeks, even a month or 2 isn’t long”.

Dana looked at how happy Alice was and felt the tears come down, ” it’s longer than that Al”.

Alice’s smile faded, ” How long?”

Dana wiped away the tear that fell down Alice’s face, ” A yearbefore Wimbledon”.

Alice looked away from Dana with her eyes wide open, and her breathing becoming noticeably more shallow, ” So what is thatlike a year and 3 months?”

Alice sat there thinking about everything, could she take time off of work to be with Dana, was a year and 3 months going to cause them to drift apart, Dana could easily meet someone new, and so could she, what were they going to do.

Alice’s thoughts were interrupted by Dana, ” Alice, I can stay, if you don’t want me to go I can stay”.

Alice’s had shot up and looked straight into Dana’s eyes, ” No! Dana no, ok thisthis is HUGE Dane,” she forced a smile, ” I want you to goI want you to go. We’ll be ok Daneeverything happens for a reason. This happenedmaybe this happened to help us see things more clearly you know?”

Dana scooted closer to Alice, ” But Alice, I see you so clearly. I want to be with you more than anything. I don’t want to lose you. I don’t want to ***** it up again Al. I love you so much Alice”.

Alice pulled Dana into a long hug, ” We can get through this baby. We’ll be good”, when she finally let go of Dana she laughed softly through her tears, ” from all this excitement I forgot to ask you when you leave”.

Dana’s eyes became even more watery, ” 3 days”.

Alice’s eyes went wide one last time, but she held back, she couldn’t do this right now, she can cry all she wanted to for 15 months, so she forced a smile, ” well, that only gives us 72 hours to plan your going away party”, then stood up and walked into the kitchen leaving Dana behind.
