“well if it isn’t Shane jr..” Alice said as Conner was sitting down “I’m not Shane jr.” Conner said glaring at Alice. “well you two are very much alike.” Helena said. “how?” Conner said looking from Alice to Helena. “well you two are players, and you have both fallen for Carmen.” Bette said taking a sip of coffee. “I haven’t fallen for Carmen and besides that I’m in a relationship. I actually believe in monogamy.""but you HOOKED UP with Carmen.""thank you Al for reminding me. I was drunk it doesn’t count.”

     Conner’s phone rang. She didn’t recognize the number, “do any of you know this number?" they all looked at the number and smiled. “what?" "Conner that’s Carmen." "fuck." Conner put her phone back into her pocket. “Conner time for work” kit yelled from the counter. Conner got up and started her shift.

At nine Conner got off work, she stayed at The Planet waiting for Bette’s surprise birthday party. Conner took her phone out of her pocket and dialed her girlfriend’s number. it rang a few time before Claire answered." hey c what’s up?" "I just wanted to talk to you and see if you wanted to by The planet tonight it’s Bette’s surprise birthday party.""yeah sure" "I’ll pick you up?" "in a few minutes" "good , bye baby." "bye" Conner closed her razor and slipped it back into her pocket. She headed back to apartment to find a strange car in her driveway.

As she pulled in, she saw Carmen was sitting on her porch. "uh.. hi." "Conner, we need to talk." "yeah, listen about last night-" " it shouldn’t have happened." Conner nodded. " can we start over as friends?" "yeah." "hi, I’m Conner and I’m in a relationship.""hi Conner. I’m Carmen and I don’t want to mess things up this time." They smiled at each before Carmen turned and drove away. Conner felt her body ache as Carmen left." I must be hungry." she said looking down making an excuse. She walked into her house and got something small to eat before heading over to Claire’s and then to the Planet. Conner and Claire walked in and found Shane and Alice together in a booth in the back. Conner sat in a chair and Claire sat in her lap.

 As Conner looked up she noticed that her chair was facing Carmen’s mixer table. Carmen glanced up from the mixer and noticed Conner with a strawberry-blonde hair girl sitting in her lap. She felt a sudden pain in her chest an she quickly sat down. Conner wrapped her arms around Claire’s waist telling herself she had not fallen for Carmen. Alice noticed that Conner was acting a little needy tonight and she looked around the club and saw Carmen on a few yards away. Alice smiled to herself and nudged Helena who was sitting right next to her, and nodded towards Carmen. Helena looked from Conner to Carmen back to Conner and smiled. “I believe our work here is done.” She whispered to Alice, who nodded.

  They got up and headed for the bar, "Claire won’t you come with us." Claire nodded and stood up and followed them. Conner watched them as they dissappeared into the crowd. She got up and headed for the mixertable.

"You okay? You don’t look so good."

"No,yeah i’m fine."

"you sure?"

"Yes!"

"Sorry, you’re just being a friend"

Conner looked at Carmen an the sight of her naked body popped into her head, she quickly shook the image from her head. "Carm.."

 Carmen looked back up at Conner,but her vision was getting blurry. "Conner!" Carmen shouted before passing out……
