Home – Chapter 9
"Nobody ever steals or lies to me" she said.
She twisted the knife in his leg. He was going to pass out.
"Get the bastard out of here" she said.
Two guys came in and took him to the hospital.
"The meeting is over, go!"
Everybody got up and left.

Jodie’s meeting with Kate was going well. They had each picked out the individual pieces they wanted to be in the show. They also had two pieces complete.
"Thanks for working non stop until lunch. Jodie, what’s new?" asked Kate.
"Things are going well. A museum in France wants a couple of my pieces. I also had 10 people order paintings off of my website. On the personal side of things I met an amazing woman. The only thing is that she is married…"
"Jo, it is not a good thing to get involved with the "confused girl". I thought you learned with Jamie" said Katie.
Jodie flashed her a hurt look.
"I am sorry" said Katie.
"Kate, she is great. She is not with me because of who I am or my money. She has her own."
Jodie’s pager went off. It was a text from Marina.
"I should be home at 9. Can we have dinner? Love, M."
Jodie texted her back.
"Sure, see you then, J."
"Oh man! You have it bad. You have that love struck look in your eyes." said Katie.
Jodie chuckled. "Lets get back to work. I have to be out of here early, I have dinner plans"

Marina cleaned off her knife and changed her shirt. She had blood on her sleeve. On her desk were the pics of Gina and her husband. She called Miguel and was put through at once.
"Hello darling," he said.
"Hello Miguel, do you see the envelope on your desk?"
"Yes, why?" he asked.
"Look in the envelope," Marina said.
"What the hell!" he growled, "How did you get a hold of something like this?"
Marina’s voice took on a cold tone he had never heard before. "Let me tell you how this is going to play out" she said, "Also in that envelope are divorce papers I want you to sign. You get to keep all the money and the houses. All I want is my freedom. I have photos and videos of you and Maria . I will put them on the Internet. I expect the papers back in a week."
Papi knocked on her door, and Marina terminated her call.

Tam, good job. The story has quite a bit of action and suspense in it now doesn’t it? Keep inspired, enthused, and driven to write. The other story I’ll very likely get to when I get back. * hugs *
