    Soon everybody arrived for the meeting. Chedle was the first to speak. “Boss, the new cops have been putting the squeeze on the girls so they are bringing in less.”

    CHAPTER 9 

    Jason was at the bistro waiting for Sam. The waitress came and took his order.

    "I would like a club sandwich, a salad and 2 iced teas. Thank you Elizabeth."

    Sam came in and sat down.

    "Why did you need the file on some artist?" Jason asked.

    "Well, that is who Marina is currently seeing."

    "How much does she know?"

    "According to Marina nothing and that is the way she wants to keep it."

    Elizabeth brought the food to the table making sure to touch Jason’s hand.

    "He is talking." Sam said.

    "Well…Her file says that she is an artist, with a brother who has a family. Her parents were killed in a car wreck 2 years ago. Ming Jin got out today and Phoenix set up the bike shop so we can funnel the money through it now, and wipe out Satigo soon.

    Sam got up and cornered Elizabeth in a booth."If you don’t keep your hands to yourself you will be sorry. Have a good day."

    She left her a 5 dollar tip, and came back to the table.

    "I saw that,” Jason chuckled.

    "I have a meeting with Sonny so I will see you late.r"

    "Ok." said Jason.

    Sam went back to the club.

    "Hey Marina, how was your night?" asked Sam.

    "Good. The head of each territory should be here in a few minutes, then we have that meeting with Lois, about the building permits."

    Soon everybody arrived for the meeting. Chedle was the first to speak. "Boss, the new cops have been putting the squeeze on the girls so they are bringing in less."

    "Sam, pay Stephen a visit. Mike how is the sale of meat going?"

    "Great boss, since you bought the warehouse all of the restaurants have to give us a cut"

    "Chuckie I noticed that my product has been a little light lately. Did you think I would not notice that you were skimming off the top? Then you make it worse by stealing twenty grand."

    "I…I was trying to catch up boss. I’m sorry, I will never do it again."

    His eyes widened, his tone nervous. Before anybody could blink Marina took the knife that she keeps on her at all times and stabbed him in the thigh. Blood seeped out of his leg and onto the chair.

    1. Tam, good job. The story has quite a bit of action and suspense in it now doesn’t it? Keep inspired, enthused, and driven to write. The other story I’ll very likely get to when I get back. * hugs *
