"thanks … um i start detox in the morning, i was wondering if you could drop me off"

"ya sure .. what time?" he asked

" i have to be there by 8:30 and I’m gonna have to stay for a week before i can come back home"

"oh a week like 7 days you mean" he laughed knowing what she was gonna say

"yes 7 days you smart ass.. but um I’m not telling Jenny or the guys I’m not ready to face them yet. i just… " he cut her off

"hey i understand… i wont say a word but what are you gonna tell them" mark understood, to him Shane was probably one of the most selfless people on earth always helping everyone else while on the inside he knew she was falling apart, just like he knew she was in love with Carmen but he wasn’t going to push the subject of Carmen, he knew her fears and reasons for being so distant

"um .. i was just gonna say i have a job out of town and ill be gone a week" Shane always hated lying but she didn’t want to worry them

"cool so .. what a.." he was interrupted by the sound of laughing and talking, They both looked up to find Jenny, Carmen, Alice, Dana, Kit, Bette, and Tina walking around the corner but the small group went quiet the second they saw mark and Shane sitting next to each other and were extremely surprised to see marks arm around her leaning form. Mark could feel the tension building between the group of women and slowly stood from his seat on the porch.

"um hi.." he turned to Shane " come get me when your ready in the morning" he turned to leave but she grabbed his hand

"no mark you live here you can stay" she stated as she pulled him back to the porch to retake his place. The rest off the group was quiet until Jenny suggested they move inside. One by one they walked past Mark and Shane into the house. giving Mark the stare of death… They had come to the house for one reason and one reason alone.. to confront Shane they knew something was wrong and they thought if they all confronted her on it together their was no way she could run…
