    The rescue demonstration …

     Bette swims toward the wreckage as the kids all cheer her on.  Tina remembers their first meeting as being very similar to this.

     

    Jodi is standing in the background, waiting and watching for Bette’s blood to be spilled in the ocean.  After overhearing Bette and Shane talking, she snuck over to the supply area and emptied all the shark repellent from the containers.  She replaced it with an inert bubbling gas which she thought was just enough to draw the attention of a shark.  She also added a small amount of blood, which she knew could be detected by a shark.  She figured that even if Bette didn’t get attacked (which she hoped for) she would be scared by the shark and look like a coward to Tina and all the students.  Either way, Jodi figured it was a win-win situation for her.  Now she watched, hoping for a dorsal fin or bloodshed.

     

     

     

    Bette nears the wreckage as Tim narrates.  “There appears to be only one victim, so Lt. Porter will immediately establish contact.”  They watch as Bette contacts the victim dummy and takes it around the chest.  She begins to swim away from the wreckage toward the helicopter.  Tim narrates again that the helicopter is lowering a basket for the victim dummy to be placed in.  Everyone watches transfixed as Bette loads the victim dummy into the basket and again gives the “thumbs up” signal to Shane to raise the basket into the helicopter.

     

     

    As everyone else watches the basket approaching the helicopter, Jodi watches the water around Bette.  She grins wide as she sees a splash in the water, several yards behind her.  Finally, I’ll have my revenge on the infallible Lieutenant Commander Porter.  And when Tina is crying and grieving, I’ll be there to support her.

     

     

    Having loaded the victim dummy and basket into the copter, Shane now lowers just the cable to pick Bette up.  All eyes again turn to Bette as she treads water, waiting for the cable.  Shane watches the cable travel toward the water and Bette, when movement to her right catches her eye.  It wasn’t much, a splash in the water, but enough to catch her attention.  She scans the water all around Bette, nervous as to what the splashing was.  Come on, come on.  Hurry up Bette.

Please tell me you coming back to update soon and I mean we need justice for Bette…ok it’s not like she died or anything but you know what I mean.
