Spooked but trying to go unnoticed, Alice quickly looks around to see if anyone has seen her. As her eyes adjust to the darkness of the alley she sees she’s alone. Up ahead a mercury light illuminates the back entrance to The Planet. Alice can hear the buzz from the light clearly over the muffled thuds of base penetrating the back wall of the nightclub. It’s in this surreal scene that Alice spots her destination standing there smoking a cigarette, Candace. All this cloak and dagger stuff was filling Alice’s veins with adrenaline. Jittery with excitement she could barely keep her feet on the ground as she make her way over for their rendezvous.
Alice has a million questions she wanted to ask this woman the least of which was what the hell was going on between her and the Peabody woman tonight. Alice had never seen anything so ballsy in her life. Well maybe she has she did know Potter pretty well and she’s seen her do plenty of audacious things before. But tonight she had to tip her hat to Candace if nothing else aggravating the living hell out of Helena Peabody.
Candace watches Alice slink towards her. She inhales deeply on her cigarette to needing the hit of nicotine in order to deal with this woman. Holding the smoke in longer than normal, Candace blows it out bit by bit in Alice’s direction as she approaches.
Waving her hand in front of her face to clear the air, Alice looks up to Candace. All she can see is her dark eyes though all the smoke. The mystery of this woman surprises Alice, she’s beginning to see just a little what Bette might have gone for in her. “Wow you sure put on a great show tonight. Care to share what it was all about?”
Candace hesitates in answering Alice. She takes this moment to look her up and down. Disgust emanates from her and for all the life of her she wants nothing to do with the woman in front of her. Candace is desperately trying to overlook the cluelessness of Alice. She is only a means to an end and for that end Candace will tolerate this woman.

Go Alice, get the slimy, slithering, evil bitch for Bette and Tina, just don’t get hurt. helena is capable of paying someone to do great harm to others for her own ends. You know it is terrible when a mother has to step in and create havoc in her own child’s life to correct the evil things she has done to others. And Peggy will create havoc when she learns what helena has done to Bette. Hopefully Tina and Alice can act quickly enough to forestall any more awful things from happening. Great story and great update, although it gives me the willie’s to think what this woman is up to. Thanks for posting.

Hey JWet, This is why it is so good to have you back posting your brilliant words on this site. The drama; the intrigue; the mystery; the realization; the reveal; the revenge.It does look like Alice is beginning to chip the defensive shields that Helena has surrounded herslef with. You can’t keep playing so many people without them finding out part of the truth and uniting against you. Pay back is a Bi-atch and I wnat Tina, Bette and the gals to have front row seats.I truly believe that you reap what you sow. For Helena this has been envy and destruction. Now is the season for her comeuppance.I do think Helena will have some sneaky games up her sleeves but hope Alice pieces the sections together and reveals Helena’s dark secrets for all to see.There has to be some form of retribution against this type of malevolence.I hope that Peggy is heavily involved as she can totally wipe the floor with her child.I do want to read more of Bette’s recovery with Tina’s love and support. This won’t be an easy journey; it is full of mistrust and hate right now. Only time and consistency with make a dent in Bette’s defenses. Tina has to prove herself to Bette once again. Perhaps the pregnany can help this pair find each other again.I am just overwhelmed by the wonder of your writing. Please continue real soon.Much appreciation and gratitude for all your post. Oh god that dam snake Helena I want her to slither back to where she came from, let see what Alice finds out as well. Also sounds like even Candace is out for blood. Hope to see the next chappy soon.
