Chapter 8
“Dane I’m here.” Alice whispers into her cell phone. She’s slowly tiptoeing towards the back alley that will leads to the back door of The Planet. She has just spent the last twenty minutes trying to be inconspicuous, hiding behind parked cars and trash cans. She was hoping to go unseen as she creeps every so slowly towards her goal.
“I just wanted you to know. So don’t worry hun, I’m OK. Just one thing thought if you don’t hear from me in a half hour could you call somebody OK?”
At Dana’s response Alice stops all pretenses of blending in and stands up straight. “What do you mean you don’t have anyone else to call?”
“No, no, no, no, no don’t call 911 we don’t want to get the cops involved just yet.”
“Come on Dana can’t you call Shane or Tina … you know somebody you can call? Jesus do I have to spell everything out for you?”
“No, no baby I’m not yelling at you. I’m just a little nervous. Jeezy weezy Dane you know I’m not yelling at you. I love you. Come on just call me back in thirty minutes OK?”
“Great now I’m going in wish me luck.”
Alice hits the end button on her phone and puts it in her back pocket. She wants to be sharp when she rounds the corner. Taking one last look around she puts she back up against the building and eases herself around the corner. This alleyway is in sharp contrast to the well light street out front, back here it’s almost black. One lonely light illuminates the area providing shadows everywhere she looks.
Giving herself a push off the wall, Alice moves forward. Immediately she trips almost falling face first into a pile of discarded boxes. Swinging her fist she hit the box with a loud thud before she realizes it’s not a threat. Alice give a little squawk when she realizes the boxes were almost her same size. Catching herself Alice continues feeling her way along. “I hope to hell someone someday appreciates the lengths I go to be a good friend.” She mumbles under her breath wondering if Tina even knew what she was asking of her.

Go Alice, get the slimy, slithering, evil bitch for Bette and Tina, just don’t get hurt. helena is capable of paying someone to do great harm to others for her own ends. You know it is terrible when a mother has to step in and create havoc in her own child’s life to correct the evil things she has done to others. And Peggy will create havoc when she learns what helena has done to Bette. Hopefully Tina and Alice can act quickly enough to forestall any more awful things from happening. Great story and great update, although it gives me the willie’s to think what this woman is up to. Thanks for posting.

Hey JWet, This is why it is so good to have you back posting your brilliant words on this site. The drama; the intrigue; the mystery; the realization; the reveal; the revenge.It does look like Alice is beginning to chip the defensive shields that Helena has surrounded herslef with. You can’t keep playing so many people without them finding out part of the truth and uniting against you. Pay back is a Bi-atch and I wnat Tina, Bette and the gals to have front row seats.I truly believe that you reap what you sow. For Helena this has been envy and destruction. Now is the season for her comeuppance.I do think Helena will have some sneaky games up her sleeves but hope Alice pieces the sections together and reveals Helena’s dark secrets for all to see.There has to be some form of retribution against this type of malevolence.I hope that Peggy is heavily involved as she can totally wipe the floor with her child.I do want to read more of Bette’s recovery with Tina’s love and support. This won’t be an easy journey; it is full of mistrust and hate right now. Only time and consistency with make a dent in Bette’s defenses. Tina has to prove herself to Bette once again. Perhaps the pregnany can help this pair find each other again.I am just overwhelmed by the wonder of your writing. Please continue real soon.Much appreciation and gratitude for all your post. Oh god that dam snake Helena I want her to slither back to where she came from, let see what Alice finds out as well. Also sounds like even Candace is out for blood. Hope to see the next chappy soon.
