Chapter 28
“What is it with you and blue Saabs’?” Tina asked as they walked towards Bette’s parked car.
“What?” Bette replied as she turned the alarm off and unlocked the doors to her blue SAAB convertible.
Tina rolled her eyes.
“Hey this isn’t completely the same, this one is a convertible” Bette winked
“You still drive the Porsche?”
Tina shrugged her shoulders
“I don’t get to drive too much in New York with traffic and all”
“One of the things I miss about living in California is the great coast line, driving by the ocean wind in your hair.”
“Is that the only thing you miss about living here?” Bette asked
Tina smiled
“I miss other things as well”
Bette smiled.
“So, where to T?”
“Do you remember that one place where you got your desk and chair for you home office?”
“The furniture place on Wilshire?”
“Yeah” Tina said
“Ok “
Bette and Tina spent the better part of the afternoon furniture shopping, what Tina thought might be awkward, was actually very pleasant and fun, Tina had almost for gotten how well Bette actually knew her, and what similar tastes they both shared.
“Can you drive me to my house, Paul’s going to meet me there to go over the progress?”
“Sure” Bette smiled
‘Anything to spend more time with you’ Bette thought to herself
Tina smiled
‘God I’ve missed this’ Tina thought
They parked in Tina’s drive way, Tina saw Paul truck was already there.
Tina opened the door and was greeted by Paul
“Wow Tina this hardwood floor looks great, make the place look more open”
“Yeah I though so”
Paul shook their hands and led Tina upstairs and Bette walked over to the French doors she opned them and made her way outside she walked to the pool and stared into the water, her memories of this place flooding her mind, she loved this house she had spent so many days and nights here with Tina and their friends, happy.
She stared into the pool and she remembered how Tina loved to make love in the pool at night with the only light coming from a full moon the way the moon light made Tina skin look even more flawless, how she loved to run her hands along the creamy skin, over every crease every soft mound, god she missed her.

We all know that Alice has a mouth but this time it may work to Bette’s advantage. You know get the dirty secrets out before hitting the club scene.

Great update. Sometimes I could just duct tape Alices’ mouth and shove her in the lake, she is always speaking out of turn. Hopefully Shane can tell Tina gently that Bette has been a bit of a player since her divorce, nothing serious with anyone just blowing off steam and trying to curb lonliness and wanting something and someone she could not have that lived in NYC. Since Tina had someone almost the whole time she was gone from LA she will understand and not hold it against Bette nor feel guilty that she was gone and not there for Bette. I hope she understands, God I hope she understands because they don’t need anything to impede their newly burgeoning friendship. Thanks for posting.

When Bette completes her cases she could find herself in NYC for a few days of R&R and call Tina and volunteer to help her pack for LA. I think Tina might like that and it would give them a couple days alone away from prying eyes of Alice, etc. That is if Tina can get over Bette’s player days revelation and I think she will.
B&T are so cute and sweet, like the way they budding a friendship again. Uh oh drama coming and hope not much. Please post more, thanks!
Hey iluvmuzic, It was great to have Bette and Tina regain some of their friendship as they both realized how much they had missed the intimacy these routine moments brought.Having breakfast together at the Planet was lovely. Together again and just being with each other, listening and chatting about their days and lives.Then a dark cloud appeared as Bette was worried about her reputation and how TIna would react to it when flung in her face at Hit.Alice was a good friend to try ans find out Tina’s true motives and got it straight away. Tina is still very much in love with Bette. Yes, Alice can point out their past but to be a best mate she has to support Tina’s decision.There was Shane ever ready to smooth things over. I do hope she softens the truth about Bette and it would be even better if Bette appeared and discussed it all with Tina.I think that chat could make or break them.I am hoping for a reuniting as Bette and Tina do just belong together.As ever you have written a brilliant story so please keep these chappies coming.Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.
Sometimes I wish A|Alice was dumb, seriously! And again may be it was the right thing to do. At least it warns Tina and Shane as usual would play it down for Bette. I just hope that Tina won’t shut out Bette but work on reconnecting. PPVS
