    Half Bliss- Chapter 15

Moving on is one of the hardest things to do. Often, people who had live most of their lives with another person or even a group of people find it hard to let go. They fight hard to stay together, thinking if they do leave one another then it simply proves that the years they’ve spent in each other’s company is a mistake. Others let go but find themselves constantly seeking for the same spark or chemistry from another source. Separation is painful. It is a painful process, especially so when it happens out of nowhere.

Couples go to therapy, thinking that by paying another person to inspect their relationship or the dynamics of it, they could salvage years of commitment made. Never had they thought that perhaps their time is over. That perhaps they grew apart as time passed them. It doesn’t always have to be an exact reason. Some things just do fall apart overtime. Our obsession in finding the root of all problems may cause more harm than actual good. The once potentially amicable break up could easily turn bitter.

It is never easy to choose. Yet, we must decide whether to leave the baggage behind or carry on our shoulders, letting it eventually weigh us down to the ground.

“So… What do you do? I mean we’ve talked for so many times and… I still don’t know… much about you.” Curious brown orbs lost itself in green ones. The once blue coloured iris appeared to be more green this moment and it fascinated her to no end. She had just caught herself in time before the other brunette noticed her intense gaze upon those eyes.

The green orbs that were before this facing the waves, now turned to her.

“I’m currently handling my family’s foundation. In fact, I’m here to take help out with some projects. We are looking into buying some houses to be converted into a centre for the children. You know… Something to keep them in schools and out of the streets.”

“That’s… That’s great.” Her admiration for this beautiful woman just grew, much to her own surprise.

“Yeah… We’ve been keeping busy with some little projects. Just to keep them busy while we set up the centre.”

    1. i’m with ash. B and H all the wayyyyyyy. I just saw this story so gotta catch up. Haha. Will leave you a proper comment the next chapter. Keeeeeep writing!

    2. Yeeeeeeeeeeesss you were right I loved it specially the second part lol. Just hope that Tina will now take the lead to help Bette through what she went through hey. Bette, Tina and Angelice have already hads enough drama, it i time for loving period. PPVS

    3. wow! really enjoyed that! even though i don’t mind the “friendship” of Bette and Helena i do hope thats what it stays at cos i’m a true tibetter – so i very much enjoyed the ending!! pps!

    4. So it’s Bette’s therapist Helena’s ex then? That would be a bit too coincidental, wouldn’t it? And what was it that Tina wanted to tell Bette? They seem to have gotten derailed a bit… Thanks for the post.

    5. well, you know what side of the fence I sit on, but I don’t mind any good story where Bette wins lol…this line struck me as uniquely true: “Couples go to therapy, thinking that by paying another person to inspect their relationship or the dynamics of it, they could salvage years of commitment made.” But little do they know that couples counseling is only a little over 30% effective..people only pay others to analyze why they should break up, not why they should stay together….

    6. you say drama, i say mystery LOL i got a feeling that Helena has some agenda…is she really into pregnant women as they tried to make it seem in season 2? still, i don’t really like where that friendship might go…i don’t like drama, it makes my heart heavy and i’m already 30 pounds overweight LOL like the desperate sex though, really intense … also, i re-read the little tidbit at the beginning, you’re talking about separation, letting go..i hope it’s not your hint for the ending

    7. I certainly liked the last page. The comment about couples therapy is interesting but there are some expert therapists of excellent character who can actually help couples eith reunite effectively or separate without too much drama. The individuals have to make up their minds and then the therapist can help them but if they are undecided or one has a different agenda then it becomes very difficult for them and easy to blame the therapist if one person does not get his or her own way. I have some experience. My mom went to a psychiatrist to get advice on how to reverse my sexuality. When the psychiatrist told her she needed to change ‘her attitude’ she got mad & blamed the psychiatrist. This was all done behind my back and I was told by her later. She does not to this day get it: I do not want to change my sexuality.

    9. Loved the update! I’m getting the chance to read the emotions each character is going through. Now I will admit I’m a Belena at heart and I too will be on that other side of the fence with a certain few cheering for this pairing. But if you choose to go the other way I will still read it. It’s a good story.
