“What’s the plan for the rest of the day?” Shay asks changing the subject.

“How about a game of golf?”  Shane suggests.

“Yeah, why not? I am going to kick you ass this time!”

“As if you can!”  Shane retorts.

Their sibling bond seems to be pretty strong.  I wonder what the relationship between Shane and her elder brother is.

Golf Club

Katie came home as Shane and Shay were heading off to play golf.  I am secretly glad that Katie is here with me otherwise I may get bored tagging along.  

The brother and sister are off playing golf in the miserable cloudy day.  Katie and I decided to stay indoor.   There is a spa area and we sit next to the pool to relax while we wait for the siblings to come back.

We ordered our drinks and start getting to know each other.   Katie is curious about how we met and not knowing where to start or indeed how much I should give away, I decided to give a true version but left out the details in case they didn’t know that Shane got hurt.  Of course, I tested the water to make sure she knew about the illegal side of McCutcheon’s empire.

“… so in short, Shane needed a place to hide and I provided the space.  She came back to thank me a few weeks later… and the rest is history.”  I end my story there, smiling at the memory of our first kiss.

“That’s sound so romantic.  I wish I could tell you a similar story about Patrick and me.  But we met at university, he was very shy and I didn’t know that he liked me until our second year when he suddenly turned up at my door step on my birthday.  He was so sweet, I didn’t have the heart to turn him down.  He worked very hard for his grades and very down to earth that nobody knew he was the McCutcheon until the day we graduated!”  Katie recalls.

“Really? I didn’t know that Shane was super rich too when we first met!  But she has this over the top confidence about her, which I think only people with certain affluent background would have.” I tell her.
