Gonna get to livin’ – Chapter 15

Shane had read the interview and was taken aback by its quality, but more importantly was moved by the heartfelt sentiment regarding Alices` current position with the media. She told her how fantastic it was and that she had better not change a thing. They sat chatting until Alice arrived.

Alice walked into the trailer and asked what was going on. Shane said she had been reading Danas` article and then just been chatting. She said she had to get off and that Alice needed to read the article before Dana emailed it, knowing Al would love it.

Taking a seat opposite Dana, Alice felt really nervous at the thought of reading the article. What if she hated it? Then she thought how wonderful it was that she was able to read it before it was sent, no-one else had allowed her that privilege. Dana looked just as nervous as she turned the laptop around with the interview on the screen. Alice smiled apprehensively and looked down at the screen. Dana offered to leave her alone to read it if she wanted but Alice said for her to stay.

After reading the article Alice looked at her hands and tears formed in her eyes. Dana asked Alice what she thought and she looked up. Panicking she said she could re-write anything Alice was unhappy about, but Alice touched Danas` hand and said it was perfect. Dana smiled and asked if she was being honest, and she said that she was being truthful. Dana was so pleased and sent it to the magazine straight away but kept the article to show the rest of the girls.

Alice told Dana that the group had arranged to go out again that night, to Bar 46 again, and did she want to go with them. She said she may have recovered by then and that she would love to join them. Alice was so pleased, she looked at Dana and spoke softly.

Alice – “I am so sorry I turned you down for that dance last night.”

Dana – “That’s ok, I didn’t want to push you!”

Alice – “I wanted to but was too nervous!” She couldn’t tell her the full truth.

    1. How excited was I to come on to three new chapters… VERY!! Anyway, can’t Julie back off? How annoying is she? I like how you’re forcing Dana and Alice into this flat where they will neeevverrr be able to avoid their ever growing attraction lovely! It’s really cute how you’re focusing a bit on Dana’s interaction with Alice’s friends, only because me and my friends are sooo close that it’s important to me and to them that we like eachother’s partners, bless ’em they get a thorough scrutinizing! Thank you peps x

    2. Alice taking some steps finally, go with it Al and Dana will have to let Julie down gently although i don’t believe she is aware of how Julie feels…PPS

    3. Hooraaaayyyy! Alice finally opened up a little. Arrghh, couldn’t wait what would happen when Dana moves in, must be very interesting to write hmmm. But I wonder why Julie doesn’t seem to be aware of the interaction between the two. Thanks a lot! Can’t wait for the next post!

    4. Loved it! Alice seems to be opening up and is ready to try for a relationship with Dana. And Dana continues to make points with Alice’s friends – always a good thing. Love Shane’s quick thinking on getting Alice and Dana to cohabitate. I hope the stalker doesn’t cause any trouble. And hopefully Julie starts to see the attraction that everyone else can see between the two and backs off herself. “Go Dana” Dance – Hee! Love how you are slowly building up the relationship. Thanks, chillipepper!!
