They were all walking down the road, Xena with Argo’s reins in her hand.

"Xena?" Gabrielle started sweetly, one of her scrolls tucked under her arm. "Why do we need to stop in at the next village? … I mean, I think it would be better to-"

"We need food," Xena smiled, shaking her head slightly at the innocent woman. "Do you plan on catching something, Gabrielle?"

"No!" Gabrielle replied honestly, shaking her head. "All of mother nature is one, and you can’t hurt part of her creation. Oh Xena. You should know that we are all made with …"

Bette looked over to Tina with a big smile, nodding ahead of them to the hilarious friends side-by-side. She whispered quietly as they both watched Xena zone out, looking to her surrounding as Gabrielle rambled on. "Do you see something there?"

"What?" Tina asked, turning her head right to the brunette at her side. "Bette, just because they’re two strong, independent women …"

Bette shrugged with a smile, "I see something."

"Xena!"

Suddenly Bette and Tina were silenced, watching Xena rub her shoulder as if Gabrielle’s playful slap had injured her in the least.

"You’re not even listening to me," Gabrielle stated, one hand on her hip.

Bette and Tina stopped, watching their conversation with intrigue.

"I was so," Xena insisted, going on to describe why, while they picked up their pace again, slowly climbing over the hill. Bette and Tina chuckled to themselves at how hilarious the two ladies were together, unknowingly so.

Finally, the village was in sight, and they walked right in. Tina and Bette were tired of nearly a full day of walking up and down hills, so they sat near the door of a shop while Xena and Gabrielle went in. "They’re sure not used to exercise," Xena mumbled once they had entered the store.

"Oh give them a chance, Xena," Gabrielle insisted, uttering her friend’s name in the adorable way only she could. "They haven’t given up, have they?"
