    Dana tries to figure out her insecurities, Alice watches the phone in hope and gets a little extra with her coffee in The Planet.

    The Country Club

      

      

     

    Dana was smashing tennis balls like no one’s business trying to get all the thoughts of Alice and Gabby out of her head unsuccessfully. Every ball she hit she envisioned Gabby’s face on, thrashing each one harder than the last until she was panting out of breath. She couldn’t ever forgive the woman for how she acted around Alice when they were together, treating Alice like shit, cheating and lying over and over again. Ducking to avoid oncoming balls, she walked over to the other side of the court and turned off the machine. Why was she so worked up? Alice wasn’t even talking to Gabby let alone flirting with her, where was all this irrational envy seeping from?

     

     

    She had hurt Alice with this petty schoolgirl crap; it was obvious each time she looked at the writer today and she knew she was the sole cause of the pain that was reflected in them. Neither had slept well, Dana opting to go home to her own place last night leaving the couple separated for the first night since they had become an item. It was pointless. Dana had barely slept at all, images of Alice and Gabby had flown around her head, taunting her and making her out to be a fool.

     

     

    It’s not like Dana didn’t know she was being insecure and insensitive, maybe it was her competitive nature that drove this insanity, she just didn’t know how to control it. Alice was the best thing that had ever happened to her, friendship wise, relationship wise, anything wise and she couldn’t bear to lose her. Acting like this wasn’t going to give her reasons to stick around much longer and Dana knew this as well.

     

     

    She was determined to oppress these pangs of jealousy for the sake of her relationship and sort her shit out. She wasn’t going to be this needy unbalanced person that she didn’t recognise. She was Dana Fairbanks, international tennis star, independent, strong and proud, this was her identity and if she didn’t reclaim it then she was going to lose herself more and more until there was nothing left to salvage.

    3. WTH?! 2 chapters and no sex. LOL! Great stuff and it’s nice to see the emotional progression between the two of them. I am loving these little vignettes and the pace you’re cranking them out! I’ll be eagerly awaiting the next installment – “Dana Eats Crow” perhaps…?

    4. Yes, go you! I think you may a better grasp than Dana on why she is so jealous – maybe. Would it be scary is she had a better grasp than you? hmmm… She’s made the decision to do the mature thing – to go into the Planet and talk to Alice. Will something stop her from making it inside? Is Gabby already in the Planet, getting ready to go visit with Alice? Will Dana knock her out? I’d better stop there because you know what they say about curiosity and the cat … look at Mr. Piddles …

    5. I hope they work it out and Dana gets un-jealous (i know thats not a word but i dont care). And hopefully Alice doesnt keep the number to be found by Dana later. That would be bad. PPS

    7. Soooooo…you’re kinda having them switch roles from what was shown on the show, eh? I have to admit I’m intrigued by it, but if you have Dana get all pill-popping crazy I shall disown you and any future stories/chapters you post, up to and possibly including the smut. (Which is a grand idea, by the way). I need to get posting, I think. It’s been like two weeks now and you’re making me feel incredibly lazy, miss I-post-two-chapters-a-night-on-a-regular-basis.

    8. It’s great to see that Dana’s trying to at least cope with her jealousy rather than ignore Alice anymore, which means they’re getting one step closer to ‘peachy-ness’, right? Well, anyway thanks for the two posts in one day:) And like always can’t wait for more.PPS!Excellent Update!

    9. Good for Alice not calling first–she did nothing wrong, Dana should totally make the first move. I do love jealous Dana, but she needs to stop jumping to conclusions and talk to her girlfriend. Anyway, I loved the updates…and 2 in 1 night? You’re putting me to shame my dear!
