Dare to Dream
A Tibette Beginning
Chapter 58
Previously…
“Tina I don’t want to scare you with this question, but the answer to it tells me a great deal about someone….. What would happen if for some reason you were not able to adopt the boys?”
“It would shatter me. To be honest, I don’t see them as Bette’s children or the girls as my children anymore. They are all our children. If for some reason I was not able to adopt the boys… it would break my heart, but it would change nothing. They are the light in my life… I love them with the deepest parts of my soul, no one, nothing, no piece of paper could or would ever change that.” Tina heard the teapot whistling in the kitchen. “If you could excuse me for a moment, Bette has had some health issues with this pregnancy and I would rather she not carry a full tray in here. I will be right back.”
“Yes… of course.”
“Thank you.”

Nicole took the opportunity too look around the living room. Mainly at the photographs of this family that adorned the walls. From the photos that graced the walls of this home you would never know that they had only been a family for a few months. There were family portraits and what seemed like a lifetime worth of professional quality snap shots. If it weren’t for the lack of baby photos with the other parent no one would ever know. She paid close attention to a few photos of Bette and Tina together, looking for a hint of something in the two sets of loving eyes. Something that would negate her gut instinct that there was no reason in the world that these kids shouldn’t be adopted. But she came up with nothing. Bette and Tina walked back into the living room together and the loving eyes that Nicole saw in the photos were looking directly at her.
“I apologize for taking so long” Bette said.
“Oh no reason to be sorry.. It wasn’t that long.”
“Please have a seat.. make yourself at home.” Waving her hand in the direction of the tray of tea sitting on the table in front of them.

It’s such an amazing chapter, and I love the way they are so confident and so comfortable with each other and with the social worker. It’s difficult to have this visit to many people, I mean we had seen how it can be when the parents are not very comfortable with each other like B&T were. I am looking forward for the next one. Love
I think you described very well social worker visit for an adoption. everything you made Bette and Tina do was ok and the social worker asked the right questions. So you are rock. PPVS
Sweet 513, very sweet, social worker dose not equal bad but the unknown can shake you nerves sometime, in fact most times when something is so important. I thnk Ms. Jenkins is going to walk away a little green from envy. Thank you, Md
You are doing a fantastic job writing this story. The social worker dialogue is on point and you have her reacting very well with everything. I have been thru an adoption home visit and we got along very well also. You are doing a great job keep it up. I agree with Md, the social worker might just be a little envious when it’s all completed. Bette and Tina are in an envious position to be financially secure enough to have this family at this timeand be very comfortably able to afford all that they do. Great chapter. PPS
things are looking good but i would be leary of letting the kids go to their rooms alone with a stranger, i don’t care who they are! :)PPS
I can’t wait to hear what Boo has to say :)
thx for the mention. i like your social worker so far. i’m just catching up.
I’m sure each of the kids will have some interesting things to say to the social worker. This is such a great story. Thanks for posting!
That was very good!!
That was great and let see the talk with the kids!
