    The results, and a family is born…

    Tina couldn’t help but blush and giggle “I will call you Dane, we will have lunch one day this week. Talk to you later”

    “Bye”

    Tina hung up her phone and leaped into Bette’s arms. “She is Ok Baby! Everything is going to be OK” Tina got caught up in the excitement of the moment “Our little girl is going to be Ok Baby” Tina’s words took Bette by surprise, but made her heart swell at the same time. At that moment Bette knew what was deep in Tina’s heart but she needed to hear it. She knew she had to ask Tina.

    “T… Honey… you.. you just said our little girl. I need to know.. Is that how you really feel? Is that what you want? Now? I know you want that in the future, but is that what is in your heart now?”

    Fear shot through Tina, but was gone quickly as it came on, as soon as she looked into Bette’s eyes. In that split second she knew what she had to do, she knew it would be Ok. In that split second everything became clear and Tina knew she could pour out everything that was in her heart and Bette would still be there. That she wouldn’t scare her off. As crazy as she knew it was for her to be feeling these things so soon she knew that Bette felt them to.

    “Baby it is what I want, now, right now. I want us to be a family. I want you to be a mother to my girls, I want to be Colin’s other mother. I want us to have this baby together, and it be born with two Mothers who love it more than life itself. Bette I love you completely, and I want us all to be a family.”

    A single tear found it’s way down Bette’s cheek as Tina professed her love and deepest desires. She pulled Tina in close to her, and instantly felt their hearts beating as one. Bette broke the embrace only to look into Tina’s eyes.

    “Tina you have changed my life, in ways that I never thought possible. You have made me feel things that I never thought I would feel again, you have made me want to feel them again. T I love you with all my heart and soul, I love the girls, and I know you love Colin, and this baby. T I want us to be a family more than I have ever wanted anything before in my life. I never want to spend another day away from you. I want Colin to know what it is like to have two Moms who love him and would go to the ends of the earth for him.”

    5. Beautiful, just lovely. This was a special chapter because the children orchestrated the conversation and got the ball rolling, so to speak. They will be one big happy family. Can hardly wait to read more about them and how they all adjusted in the coming weeks and months and, of course, the birth of the baby. Wouldn’t be just ironic as all get out if the baby had hazel eyes just like Tina. Great chapter. PPS
