    The results, and a family is born…

    “When they get married it will be like that.” Hailey said.

    “I think I would like that I like your Momma she is nice” Colin said

    “Yeah, I like your Mommy to” Hailey told him.

    “Yeah me to” Sky added.

    Bette and Tina continued to cook dinner, stealing looks and kisses whenever they could. They were in the midst of yet another passionate kiss, when Tina’s phone started to ring. Tina knew immediately by the ring tone that it was Dana. She froze immediately.

    “T, baby what is it? What’s wrong?”

    “It’s Dana” Tina wanted to run to her phone but she was frozen in fear. “Bette can you get it, I… I can’t” Tina asked as the tears started to roll down her cheeks. Bette quickly ran for the living room to get Tina’s phone.

    “Hello”

    “Bette is that you?”

    “Yeah Dana, what’s going on? Do you have test results?”

    “Yeah I do.. Is Tina there?”

    “Um.. yeah… Dana is it good news?”

    “Yeah Bette it is, but I would rather tell Tina myself.”

    “Yeah Ok, let me get her…” Bette walked her way back to Tina who was still frozen in the same place. “T… she wants to talk to you, but she said that it was good news.”

    Tina let out a heavy sigh of relief, as she reached for the phone.

    “Dane… did you get the results back?”

    “Yeah Tina I did, I pulled in a favor and was able to get them to call me as soon as they had confirmation. She is Ok Tina, all the test results were negative, this is just a matter of how her body absorbs the iron. As long as we continue to give her the iron supplement she will be just fine.”

    “Thank you so much Dane this is wonderful news!”

    “Tina there is no need to thank me, I’m just glad that everything came out Ok. I know that you have company, so I will let you go. If you have any questions or if anything changes give me a call, but the supplement should take care of it. Oh and Tina, as soon as you can pry yourself away from Bette for a couple of hours we need to get together for lunch. I want to hear all about your new lover girl!”

    5. Beautiful, just lovely. This was a special chapter because the children orchestrated the conversation and got the ball rolling, so to speak. They will be one big happy family. Can hardly wait to read more about them and how they all adjusted in the coming weeks and months and, of course, the birth of the baby. Wouldn’t be just ironic as all get out if the baby had hazel eyes just like Tina. Great chapter. PPS
