Bette danced Angelica into the room on her hip, encouraging every squeal of joy as she spun around.
"Don’t get her all worked up before Alice comes to get her," Tina said. "I’m sure she doesn’t want to be up half the night trying to settle her down."
"She loved that sleigh ride," Bette said, as she raspberried Angelica’s chubby cheek. Angelica reached to Bette’s face and Bette kissed at her fingers. "Let’s get your little bear suit off my darling girl."
Bette unzipped the parka that the baby had on, while Tina hung her own coat in the closet by the hotel room door.
"I’ll take her and get her fed so that she’s ready for sleep," Tina offered. "Alice should be here shortly."
Bette handed Angelica over and leaned in for a kiss.
"Remind me to thank Alice for taking her overnight tonight," she said after meeting Tina’s lips briefly. "Makes this more of a holiday for us if we don’t have to wonder when we’re going to be interrupted."
"Nothing is going to distract me from you tonight," Tina said. She rested the baby on her left hip. As Bette started to pull away, Tina put her right hand behind Bette’s head and drew her back. "Come on, you can do better than that."
They met again, this time with a greater intimacy.
Angelica blew spit bubbles and started to swing her arm up and down against Tina’s breast.
"I think our daughter wants some dinner," Bette said quietly when she finally pulled away.
"I love the way you kiss me," Tina replied. "And yes, I’m going to get her fed, so that Alice can take her as soon as she gets here."
Tina sat down and positioned the baby for a snack, just as there was a knock at the door.
Bette opened the door to Alice’s smiling face.
"I’m ready to fulfil my role as earth mother," she announced as she walked in. She then spied Tina nursing the baby. "But that’s one thing an earth mother can’t do, so I’ll just sit and wait for her to finish."
"I put a couple of full bottles into her bag," Bette said. "Just pop them in the fridge when you get back to your room. You should have more than enough for overnight."

I’m not so into TiBette either. I have to replace one name mentally when I read it. lol. Great chapter. Hope you could bring on more stories.
That was so HOTTTT!!!!! To bad we can’t have a Bette and Tina like that on the show.
Sorry I am still a Tibetter at heart and will be until I die. Now that is the moan of love that I like to hear. I do have one question though. If the show had not messed up the character of Tina would most of the Tina haters still feel that way? Or did IC’s handling of Tina cause this dislike of her? From reading interviews both Laurel and Jennifer are not happy about what has happened to their on screen love. I just hate to see that chemistry go down the drain because one woman has no clue about love and relationships.
I so agree w/patti. One diehard TiBetter here. Your description and attention to detail makes your stories so perfect. I swear, you could write a story about a grocery list and it would be award-winning.

I think it is crazy to “downrate” a story just because of the character pairing. When it’s a great and entertaining story it should be rated for that. You do a great job no matter who you pair. Thank you.
What the hell? Someone gave you a 1? O.o Now, I wasn’t crazy about the Helena/Bette pairing and honestly I stopped reading because it did nothing for me. The story didn’t suck though, just so you know. I just had to stop. But I loved this one though as I am still a TiBetter. I hate how Tina was just transformed into this unknown person in S3. She wasn’t even close to the woman who enjoyed helping out children in S2. The worst part is we really don’t know why. My mom seems to think if the show went on for 10 years we’d learn to read between the lines. I disagree. I don’t like making assumptions like that. My mom is used to her daily soap operas where they can stretch a storyline out with little to no problems. Anyway, grats on the award. You’re an excellent writer and deserve it.

You’re stories are wonderful. Ratings, awards … well, recognition is nice but, it really doesn’t matter in the general scheme of things. And, like most other authors, I’m betting you don’t write for those cudoos anyway. Seek solace in the catharsis that is the process … it’s all about the writing, readership of any kind is just an added bonus!

Great story, Fins, I agree with you, I can not conceive how they are possibly going to get these two back together. Actually, at this point, I think I would be offended if they were to get back together because there has been way too much crap between them. I, personally, like the Bette and Helena pairing, but perhaps we should be thinking about Marleen Matlin…hmmmmm

I had to scroll down here to Southern Texas to get my comment in…JKS, that ‘1’ must have been from Bizzaro Fan, BF was created by a mad scientist, is the same as a normal fan, but lacking in some way. Bizarro Fan’s mind is somewhat scrambled and unfocused: “Me am very happy with story. Me give it a one!” …Bizarro Fan appears on this site from time to time, gracing the comment section of various stalwart authors. It’s best to just ignore him/her/it…BTW, did you know that Jimmy Olsen would occasionally appear as a transvestite in Superman comics, going undercover dressed as a woman?…Wickipedia doesn’t have a listing for ‘JKS’ yet. “Accomplished author of various genres of TLW fanfiction. Enranged and endeared herself to the loyal fanbase by creating the first plausible B&H fanfic, to huge positive response.” …be sure to wear a helmet and leathers, okay?…Thanks for giving Angelica’s mothers a ‘lil respite. Lovely chapter! Like so many others, I’m a die-hard Tibette fan so this was just what the doctor ordered. We’ve still not seen S3 in the UK – so can still dream on for a little longer. Congrats on the award – richly deserved.

I am also a Tibetter. Where did everyone come up with the pairing of Bette & Helena? I understand not liking the Tina character after season 3. But I saw no indication of Bette & Helena together other than the ride on the ski lift.
JKS, That was a marvellous and majestic moment of Bette and TIna’s lives. As a true blue Bettina fan, I bow to your wonderful and inspired writing. Your talent oozes from every story you post. If those small minded individuals can’t see past the series couplings then please encourage them to only read those stories which relate to these pairings and not rate based on the union involved. The rating is for the quality and talent of narrative and story-telling ability of the author only. As for the HelBette story they are only flights of fantasy and who knows what wickedness Season 4 may bring our way. I adore the emotional contact that your stories contain. This one captures the love and passion between Bette and Tina. The essence of their relationship is here for all to feel. A pure and sheer delight to savor and revel in. Thank you so much for putting yourself out there. Just trust that there are people who love every word you craft and judge the tales on their merits. I thankfully place myself in this group and will always be here to defend against the pettiness that others may sling your way. Much gratitude and appreciation for this and all your other stories. Congratulations on your award and its nice to see you back writing about B&T, can we have more when you are ready.Being a B&T fan too, I honestly do not even see how Bette and Tina can be reconciled, it is just IMO not going to happen in S4, what I think will happen in S4 is how Bette and Tina will be shown moving on from each other, I hope Bette will still be in Angelica life, so the connection will still be there for B&T but it will be through raising Angelica. I will stay on the B&T ship until the very end, you never know with IC she just might surprise us. (maybe wishes do come true):-o)
