“I’m so reaching for something that isn’t there,” whispered Tina, to herself, as she parked. Getting out of her car, she saw Joss and Quin talking outside of the office building, “You two look like you’re in deep convo.”
“Helena is pushing for us to have the film done in three weeks, for the premiere in Vermont in six weeks, she’s lost her mind,” ranted Quin, who was messing up her slowly growing hair. Still unaccustomed to having less hair, but the spikey mess was very attractive on her.
“I’m close to the final edit, but to have it ready to premiere? I don’t know why she is so hot on having it done so quick…,” muttered Joss. Joss understood that Helena was a pro at the movie game, Joss was merely a director, a good one, but one that didn’t adhere to Hollywood politics. That was Helena’s job.
“I wish it to be done, because the last time I looked, Joss, you had a television series to start writing, directing, and producing; and I wish it to be on the air next season and not the season after next,” chided Helena, from behind them.
Quin sighed, not looking at Tina, “You want a party planned in Vermont to premiere the soundtrack the day before the movie, and what else?” asked Quin hotly. Always at odds with one another, Quin and Helena stood almost toe to toe, and Quin won the stare down, causing Helena to look down at her hands.
“All the stars, of course, need to be there, as well as all the artists that contributed to the soundtrack,” said Helena, ushering them into the office hallway. Tina got a kiss on the cheek from Helena as she walked by, hoping that Quin hadn’t seen it.
“Wonderful,” growled Quin, thinking she was going to have to play actress AND rock star. “Helena, why the change in the time table, I thought we were positioning it for The Golden Globes and The Oscars?”
“Honestly? The time is ripe for a new gay movie, and this is a really strong movie,” said Tina. She understood why Helena was pushing, it was time for the lesbian Brokeback Mountain. There were not many gay movies being made, but the ones that were out there were low budget. This had a big budget, a great cast, and what looked like the potential to spawn a loyal following.

Well, for once, insomnia has led to something good. Welcome back! That was some really smokin build up with Natalie and Al, loved it. I liked Alice sticking up for her… (girl?)friend with Spencer. And I see Tina is jealous, too bad. If she snoozes, she’ll lose… again. She’s lost Quin for good, and Bette is moving on. Glad you had fun, JM, and good luck with the new job. Spencer is a brat. Love Natalie and Alice that was cute and now sexy At least Alice got her in bed. Tina is jealous,but Bette is not moving on from Tina. Just trying to keep from running to Tina. Just some wee baby steps. Glad you enjoyed your vacation. Must have done you a world of good. Your writing is smooth in this chapter. Was going to say sweet,do you do sweet? Wow…dare I hope for a B&T reunion??? Cute interactions between Alice & Nat and nice touch helping Tina/Quin come full circle with their relationship. Great anecdote chapter to your others =) and did I read it right? you’re going to continue with Le Bandwagon??? I soooo need your energy, what with the new job & all, congrats to that. Natalie & Alice were very cute together. Glad to see Natalie was just doubtful & not purposely misleading. With all the things that Spencer has faced, I tend to forget that she is a teenager prone to bitchy, childish behavior, luv what Alice had to say to her. Angelica makes me laugh, I can just picture the attitude that a child that age can give. Loved it.
Awfully calm in this chapter. Eye of the storm? Or is the joke on us–no more twists and turns–which would be the biggest twist of all!!!!
Okay, Bettyvhall just said everything I was going to! Spencer is a brat, and Alice shows a glimpse of her Yoda side, and then switches right into her sexy side! Natalie is cute when she is nervous. Tina is jealous…Bette does want Tina (in my opinion) but is stopping herself from jumping right back into it. Maybe because there is a part of her that is still in love with Jo, she doesn’t want Tina to only get a part of her heart. Yet, I think there is a part of Bette that is still in love with Tina. Besides, Bette should know that when she loves, she loves completely…not part-ways. What a nice surprise to wake up to this! Thanks!!

Hey JM, “lighthearted is moi”… not the first descriptive word that comes to mind, but I like that you are keeping up your giggle factor…too cute! Gotta love the Alice. Setting Tina straight, setting Spencer straight, and then making sure Natalie wasn’t too straight. Great chapter, even the continued B&T teasing. Today is Friday so I am anxiously awaiting your juicy morsel!
JM so glad you finally got Alice and Natalie together. Funny you had Alice remember everything. So dense Bette is! Well lets see how Bette date goes with this “new” addition to the story. Doesn’t Bette and Tina notice that their daughters conversation is a little mature considering her age?
