“I forgot to say ‘Thank you.’.  Sorry, my bad.”  Shane apologised, placing her hands on her heart.

“How are you going to repay me for fending your stalker off?”  She flirted.

“How about I tell you a secret?”  She tried to compromise.

“That depends on how big your secret is.”

“OK, hear me out first.”  Shane was still having a little trouble concentrating on her thoughts.

“Come here.”  Shane whispered into Carmen’s ear, “You are a good kisser.”

“Thanks.  You’re not the only one who said that.  So it doesn’t count!”  She laughed it off.

“But it’s the first time that I told you.  It counts something, right?”   Shane was making her case.

“Maybe.”  Carmen smirked, walking a few steps backwards.

“Hey, I just pay you a compliment.  Aren’t you going to pay me a one back?”   Shane was asking a little bit too desperately.

“I don’t have one for you now!”  She replied with a giggle.

“Was I good?  Hey!”  Shane shouted from behind.

Carmen had already turned around and went to the TV area.

The rest of the day was less eventful, Chase bought they some cakes and coffee around 5pm and told them that they could leave for today.

“So how much have I earned today?”  Carmen asked Shane after they finished tidying up the hair section.

“$20 an hour, you’ve worked 5 hours today, so here you go, $100.”  Shane counted her the money.

“What?  Only $100?  For all the work that I did today? Any bonus for the little improvisation?”

“How about I buy you dinner tonight?”  Shane yield to her big chocolate eyes.

“I saw on the news that there is a meteor rain tonight.  Let’s go and see that!”  Carmen suggested.

“OK, let’s grab some dinner and we will go star gazing.”  Shane smiled at her.

An hour later, they were in Malibu.  Shane knew a hidden spot in the Canyon best for some quiet and peace.

“Here is the best hotdog in town you can get and a cold beer.  It’s the best comfort food for a long day at work.”  Shane found a flat rock where they could sit down comfortably and hand Carmen the food.
