    The last interlude before “First Contact”

    Meanwhile at the clinic, Bette and Shane looked at Dr. Sullivan with shocked eyes.

     

    “Cas… tration?“ Bette stammered.

     

    “Well, dear, since you’re responsible for him now it’s the right thing to do.“ the blue eyed Vet replied.

     

    “Yes, but she can’t make that decision… yet !“ Shane put down her foot. “Blue is still owned by his breeder. You can’t just claim a pet of unknown origin and do something like this.“

     

    Bette smiled grateful at Shane.

     

    “That’s easy to remedy. Just call the owner.“ Dr. Sullivan just thought Blue staying with Bette was a done deal.

     

    “Ahem… okay.“ Bette handed Blue to Shane, grabbed her phone and dialled the number from the paper the Vet had given her earlier.

     

    “Ah… Hello, this is Bette Porter speaking. I’m calling from Los Angeles about Blue.“ She was unsure how to procede.

     

    The sheet with Blue’s information had no price listed for him and she didn’t had the slightest idea what to expect.

     

    “Yes, that’s right. Actually he appeared in my backyard this morning and I think he likes me.“ She laughed about something the owner said.

     

    “Well, I never had a kitten before, but there are good people around me who can help out. … Oh, that’s good to hear. … Hmmm… not to sound too eager, but what…. Ah, yes, that’s okay for me. … Let’s be in contact later today, so we can iron out the other details. … Thank you very much.“ Bette was about to close the phone, but the Vet motioned for it.

     

    Bette handed it over.

     

    “Hello, this is Dr. Sullivan. I’m the Veterinary where Ms. Porter and Blue are right now. … No, he is fine, she just wanted to make sure of that. … Yes, that’s what I thought. … I really can tell he took a shine on her and is in good hands here.“ She laughed quietly. “I can understand that, that’s why I wanted to talk to you. … Okay. One more question. If Ms. Porter decides to got him castratet… Oh… good to hear. Then good bye.“

     

    She handed the phone back and smiled. “Well, congratulations for becoming a mom not only out of the but for Blue.“

    5. To all readers of this story: It was never my intention to “trick” you into reading this story by rating it NC-17. … I just edited them, so no one will fall into that trap again.

Yeah Kijuma even I am here…keeping an eye on you…lol..alot of times we get busy and have to play catchup with the stories so if it looks like not many people are reading when you post just go back about a day or so later and you’ll see the numbers go up. I see that Blue is here to stay so this is me accepting that…sigh. If you are gonna put Bette & Helena together can you at least give Helena a puppy? Are you gonna have Helena move in with Bette so she won’t have to sleep on Alice’s couch? If so she will have plenty of room for a puppy. How can you live at the beach and NOT have a dog? Just not right.
