Angelica had now spotted Blue. He was on his way down from Helena’s lap and the baby was watching him with round eyes. Then she took her eyes of him for a moment and looked quizzically at her mother.

„Cat, Mommy.“ She told her.

„Yes, Boo, that is a cat. His name is Blue.“ Bette told her lovingly. She was too happy to have her daughter with her unexpectedly, that she just forgot to worry for the moment.

The three adults in the couch area had their attention now completely on the child and the cat.

Shane was still standing inside the entrance of the door and April suddenly smirked. „Something wrong, Shane ?“

„No, nothing is wrong. Hi.“ Shane took a step into her direction and pecked her on the cheek. Mindful of the other occupants of the room, even if they never even noticed her coming into the house finally.

She dropped the key on the sideboard near the entrance and took Aprils’s hand. „You’re looking great. Those clothes fit you.“

„Yes, April, very sure. Can we talk a bit later ? I want to see how Angelica reacts to Blue.“ Shane really wanted to speak to her, but they both knew that that had to wait.

„Of course, baby. We’ll talk later.“ Dr. Sullivan nearly sniggered at Shane’s reaction to that.

„Good one, Doc.“

They both turned to meet the others and Shane realized for the first time, that there was another person in the room.

But before introductions could be made, Angelica wanted down. She wanted to see the cat first hand.

Bette was unsure how to proceed, so Margret Waters took over… a bit. „Just let her down, but don’t loose your connection to her, Bette. I think he is as curious as she is.“
