    Blind (Chap 10)

Everytime I picked up my phone wanting to phone her… text her… but that everytime I chickened out and never gathered up enough guts to ‘stay in touch’ with Bette. All I did was calling Dana twice a day… asking all about Bette Porter… luckily Dana was not the one to be sensitively knowing what was going on between Bette and I… or rather my hidden  feelings towards Bette.

“I’m going out on our first date with Alice.” This cut out from my worry thoughts about Bette.

“Oh… that’s great…” I was really glad Dana finally found someone… she has been so closeted until she was hardly dating anyone… and Alice seemed like a very nice person for Dana.

She rambled on how happy and nervous she was on the date, I listened carefully, a part of me was really happy for her… but a part of me still shadowed and questioning when would a happy ‘date’ like that would happen to Bette and I. I really miss her…

Two weeks passed… still never talked to Bette directly… she had been released from the hospital a few days before I made it back to LA… while Alice and Dana… they had went on dates… ugh… frustrated over my confusion and indecisiveness.

“Tina, what is it between you and Bette?”

    I choked… *cough* “What?!?” *cough*

“You know it seems like there is something between the two of you. You asking her whereabouts everyday and her asking yours everyday as well… well, that’s what Alice said and concluded…”

I knew it wasn’t Dana who suspected this.

“Well…err… we’re friends… and I’m the nurse in charge to take care of her… so I need to know how she’s doing.” I tried so hard to find excuses that wouldn’t blow up my cover.

    “Ooo…ok…” Dana sounded unconvincing.

“Dane… we’re friends that care for each other… I would do that too if I hadn’t stayed in touch with you…” I tried hard to think more convincing ‘excuses’ “I value you girls very much and care about you too…” I said hoping that she wouldn’t get any more suspicious.

“Yea… friends are really important heh since we’re living away from home.”

    1. 2 weeks of not seening each other and all they give each other is nice to see you? oh come on!!!Zabo, make them wake up and see what is in front of them. and of course i’m in for the ride. thanks looking forward to next chapter

    2. God, how dare you to call your beautiful story a “humble” one ? (*Hmm… trying hard to frown here, when in fact I’m smiling !*) Let me tell you that, dear Zabo : for me, nothing written succeeding to truly touch its readers’ heart should never be called “humble”. Because giving life to any deep emotion, “come rain or come shine” – as my favourite singer sang many years ago – , is the real meaning of writing. Give me tears or smiles, comedy or drama, but give me emotions ! That could pretty be my reader’s motto ! ^_^ — “I’d never taken my time to realise that simple thing like looking up to the sky… with the stars shinning could be so beautiful” : that could be called the awakening of true emotions in the wake of this everlasting miracle that falling in love is : everything around us suddenly takes a new beauty and a new meaning… A simply beautiful all-senses phenomenon. — “it first sent warmth to my heart… but then the warmth scared me, so I pulled away” : ah, this eternal feelings’ crossover that so easily brings misunderstandings ! One can be emotionally moved and however acting as if turning the gesture down… that’s the ‘blur’ we spoke about together, isn’t it ? (*wink*) — “my eyes watered, blurring my sight to capture Tina beauty for the last few moment before seeing her again… will I see her again?” : I love that. An other meaning to all the ways one can interpret ‘see’ : right away Tina’s face was finally brang to light for our Bette, her presence will soon be removed – something tears’ blur already shows. Pretty painful ! — And finally, here’s the ultimate misunderstanding : Tina ‘masked her pain’, ‘chickened out and never gathered up enough guts to ‘stay in touch’ with Bette’, a ‘confusion and indecisiveness’ behavior that also masked her feelings and will certainly make Bette think that the lovely blonde of her dreams doesn’t care about her… One of life’s worst traps, I think ! But of course, drama would not have been so intense here with a better observer at Bette’s bedside instead of Dana (ha ! to observe, to acknowledge, to realize… so much variations around your ‘see’ thema ! ^_^ ) and so it’s definitly blur time now, I’m afraid ! Fortunately, Alice’s precious observation’s skills are already on the march and her bond with Dana will be the priceless hyphen between our two still unconfessed lovebirds. Go, Alice, go ! ^_^ — Dear talented author, this update truly delighted me : I missed this great story of yours so much ! (… and, my dear justloveB+T, if you read me now, please try your best to delight me too with your three stories’ updates, as soon as possible !! *adding my best puppy eyes here*). And even if you unconciously didn’t pay attention to the surrounding of all this ‘see’ thema, let me tell you how perfectly you express its variations from the very beginning ! Uncounciously to you, but nevertheless present – I mean it. Many thanks from the deepest of my heart for such a powerful story ! – Faithfully yours – your more than ever happy reader.

    3. Maybe she missed out on the hug the first time around but Bette will get Tina into her arms before the night is finished (you know, the hug thingy). I take it that Tina was also a little surprised when she saw the out of the hospital Bette.

    4. Wow these 2 ladies fail bigtime. Hey, what’s that in your mailboxes, B&T? It’s a reality check! Anyone with half a brain could tell something was there when Bette was still in the hospital. Aww and Tina pulled her hand away? So mean. :( Thanks for finally posting again! lol

    5. Can we hit Bette with the cane? she hadn’t seen Tina in a while and all she can say is “It’s good to see you again Tina”??? even with that wonderful smile it’s not enough! LOL

    6. Hmm… very nice, Zabo. Two weeks is a long time, isn’t it, Tina? At least enough to realise that you have got someone under your skin… Come on girl, just go with the flow! I don’t think Bette will make a single move if she doesn’t get at least a hint from Tina… Thanks zabo!

    7. They should really get a grip on themselves… This is just killing them both if you ask me. Thanks for posting and I hope you’ll post again soon. I love the story :)
