Molly said “I will get us our own room. Tina when you are there, you are going to need down time and your own space”.
Tina realized that Tom was interpreting everything that was being said to Jodie. Jodie had furrowed brows and looked very agitated. Shane took the non verbal queue from Tina and asked Jodie “What about you Jodie? What are you going to do?” Tom answered for her that she did not know what she was going to do, but that she was going to stick around for a few days and definitely wanted to see and talk to Bette. Everyone looked a bit uneasy, not expecting this answer from Jodie. Before anyone could break the awkward silence, Dr. Miller appeared through the hospital doors.
“Tina” Dr. Miller said and approached where she was standing. “I wanted to give you an update on Bette”.
Tina said “Right, right”. As Tina started to walk a bit away from the waiting area to speak privately with Dr. Miller, Jodie showed up right by her side with Tom. Dr. Miller looked confused and said “Is it ok for me to give an update of Bette’s condition in front of Bette’s friend?”
Jodie signed furiously to Tom who said “I am Bette’s partner, not friend”.
Dr. Miller, Jodie and Tom all waited for a reaction from Tina. Tina felt really bullied at the moment, but she also felt defeated and exhausted and she said “Yes, it is fine, what is going on with Bette”.
Dr. Miller said “I have some good news and some bad news. Let me start by saying Bette is going to be ok. She is going to need some serious physical therapy and she will be in the hospital for 10-14 days. Her leg is broken in two places and she has a slight hip fracture. We were able to set everything in surgery, but did have to put in some pins to help hold things in place. Let’s just say it will be some time before Ms. Porter is biking again like this. She is banged up, but no internal bleeding, which is good. She has some very serious bruising, especially in her abdomen area. She took a pretty hard hit on her head as well. There is swelling, but we don’t see any signs of concussion or anything like that. She is in recovery right now. Shortly, she will be relocated to her permanent room in the hospital. She will likely sleep most of the day and will could be very confused because of the medications, pain killers and anesthesia. The hospital room has a rocking chair and a window seat narrow bed. Her visiting hours are not really restricted, but I would ask that she not have a lot of activity today, since she really needs to rest to make a full recovery. Do you have questions?” Dr. Miller was not quite sure who he was asking this to.

Oh dear, Bette’s pretending to sleep to avoid Jodi… ouch! Well, she can’t use that excuse for too long, because sooner or later, banged up and post-surgery or not, she’s going to have to face the music. Tina too, even though she’s got a million and one other things on besides being there for Bette. 10 days-2 weeks in a cast for Bette? I don’t think she has that much patience… and I hope Tina doesn’t feel like the accident was her fault… it wasn’t. I also hope everything goes okay with Angie/Kit and the rest of their lives they left behind in LA. Thanks for the post!
Way to go Bette…LMAO! Ok, I think it wasn’t supposed to be funny but I had to laugh anyway, couldn’t help it.Jodi’s next visit should be interesting…By the frequency in posting I guess the next chapter will be online when I get up so I’ll spare you and won’t beg to post soon.See you tomorrow ;)

Ubtil Bette tells Jodie to back off and to stay away, she will stick around just to get on Tina nerves. Got to remember that Tina can just take so much. The Alpha Tina will appear. Woo beyond to Jodie when that happens thanks
Hopefully Bette will tell the doctor herself that she does not want Jodi there anymore. Will Bette tell Tina what Jodi said and does Tina need to know? Jodi needs to go away permanently and Bette needs to tell her that they have no future together and to get lost. Please don’t let Tina start to blame herself for the accident and we know she will. It was no one’s fault. Crap happens. IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. Hopefully once Tina gets some rest she will be back at 100% herself and able to stand up to Jodi and Tom. I love alpha Tina, when she gets her back up and she has a powerful right hook when needed. Thanks for posting so often. Love the story. PPS
Ok, Jodie is officially getting on my nerves. But, Bette can’t use the excuse of sleeping to avoid Jodie. I think Tina’s patience is wearing thin. Bette needs to confront Jodie and tell her the truth so it won’t interfere with her recovery.

yoiur doing a good job… jodie will get her self n trouble… the hospital will not let her pull any shit with them… they don’t care that she is deaf… she still has to follow the rules and if bette doesn’t want jodie there.. well tina needs to tell her… bette can’t get her blood pressure up, so jodie take a hike… loved how bette pretended to be asleep… keep it up… good job…PPS
