Tina: we better get going…
Linda: wait up… you two are having company tonight…
Lisa: Me too… dad said he will come and get us tomorrow night… after dinner of cause…
Linda: of cause… let me pack a few things…
Lisa: and Dad went to get something for dinner tonight… he said he bet neither of you ate since yesterday…
Bette: he would be right…
Lisa: Ok meet you two down stairs…
Bette: Tee calm down… your trembling… (Bette sits her down on the bed)
Tina: (through tears)… babe I’m so scared…
Bette: I will be right there with you… when you close your eyes and then when you open them…
Tina: promise…
Bette: Baby I swear… and I would never let anyone do any thing to you… just like I trust you with my life…
Tina: I know… thank God I have you… I was so stupid… to even think of leaving you…
Lisa yells up… dinner was here…
Bette: Lets go… you need to eat something… and so do I
Down in the kitchen…
Linda: look Tina… just like when you two were kids… Pizza and Wonton Soup…
Bette just burst out laughing…
Tina: Be nice babe… or else I’ll tell a little secret…
Bette: Hmmm… Pass me a slice….
A little later…
Bette: So come on what’s the deal… with the pizza and soup
Lisa and Tina just roll their eyes and look away…
Linda: Well when they were young… Lisa loved Wonton Soup and Tina always wanted pizza… so if they were good they got both
Bette: that’s cute…
Lisa: Yeah real cute… next you’ll be taking out naked baby pictures…
Linda: you know I could…
Frank: see what I had to put up with…
Linda: and you loved it…
Frank: I know… I wouldn’t change it for the world… more soup anyone…
They all say good-bye to dad and they were on their way home… Tina sat in the back with Linda… she was tired and wanted to sleep and Linda just wanted to hold her while she slept… Lisa kept Bette awake in the front seat…
Linda just stroked Tina’s hair… and rubbed her back… just like she did when she was a little girl… and Tina loved it… as she snuggled to her mother…
Tina: Mom… I’m scared…
Linda: I know you are baby… but remember we are all here for you… so God forbid any things happens… please don’t shut us out… especially Bette… you crushed her today…
Tina: I know… and I told her that it would never happen again… I just felt so many different emotions at the same time… or definitely running into each other… shock… anger… denial… and then acceptance… and I lashed out to the person I love the most… I’m so tired mom…
Linda: Then be quiet and close your eyes… you can catch at least an hour before we get home…
Lisa and Bette talked the whole way home…
They were almost home… Lisa turns around…
Lisa: she sleeping…
Linda: yeah… she slept for about an hour…
Bette: she didn’t sleep at all last night… and either did I…
Linda: well hopefully you both will tonight… she’s terrified Bette…
Bette: I know she is… but Dr. Wilson is a good Doctor… and if she says its 99.99% nothing… then I’m going with her… because she would never sugar coat it…
Linda: That’s good… and I’m so glad you called her to see if she could do this sooner
Bette: Ya know Mom… by Monday Tina would be sick as a dog… between not eating and no sleep… I had to get this done now… and I’m glad Dr. Wilson was able to do this tomorrow…
Pulling into their driveway…
Linda: Hey sleepy head… we’re home
Tina: already…
Bette: Not soon enough… I almost pulled over and let Lisa drive… thank God she kept talking…
In the House…
Bette: Well mom, Lisa… I am heading to bed… before I fall over…
Tina: me too… good night you two…
They both stripped and crawled into bed and met in the middle… their bodies relaxed against each other… they both knew they were home… and both welcomed sleep…

Thank Goodness Tina finally came around. Thanks for this touch of drama. I was just thinking about emailing to ask for some drama because I always wonder how they would they react if anything would happen to the other. But in mind it was always Bette that was the one that something happened to. Please let Tina be okay. Any hope for a posting on your other fic????
Dammit MOM now I want wonton soup and it’s hard to find good soup around here. =( Yes Tina was a perfect jackass but we all have our moments. That’s good that Tina’s appointment was moved up because waiting sucks.
It would appear it takes a village and the entire extended family (Second Cousin Edith, can you come over?) to knock some sense into Tina’s extra thick skull. I wasn’t aware that fear quickly lays down new layers of calcium to the cranium. I’m glad they finally succeeded. Smart move on Bette’s part to get Dr. Wilson to speed up the schedule. I betcha that everything will turn out fine and they’ll be scheduling an insemination session as they leave this appointment.
Man…thank you for reeling Tina in…she was wayyy out there. I am glad they are all with her. I am sure everything will be fine. I am currently reading a story where Tina had cancer and DIED (cassandra_b)…that story is emotionally draining but the writing is soooo good I can’t not read it…I just have to read a little and walk away…then read some more. I hope this story stays with them happy and healthy and in love. Thanks for posting Amanda.

This is hard on any family but for a woman it seems to be the hardest. Especially if the take the entire breast. I am glad that mom, Lisa and Bette could talk to Tina and get her to feel better about herself.
Tina got her senses back! what a wonderful thing! the doctor said that the 99.99% are a benign then it will be and if not she needs to keep around the person that she loves and love her. Great post Amanda! take care

Sorry it has been so long since I have commented, but you know,life sometimes gets in the way. Hey MG, this is great, working in some real life stuff. You know I love this story, but you also know I loved your other story that you have just completely abandoned, shame on you. LOL. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Amanda, That was so tormented and then touching as Tina started to see the support and love around her instead of focussing on the darkest of potentail outcomes. Loved it as it demonstrate the ability of love to conquer all demons; even the ones you create yourself. Can’t wait to see where this leads. More please and soon, Your Loyal Fan.
