Tina: that’s it mom… Bette is a very sexual woman… she could of had her pick of all the women in West Hollywood… what makes you think she will stay with me… through Chemo… you know how sick that makes a person… and her wife… well half a woman… I couldn’t see her watch me every day… so I am giving her a way out…

Bette was listening and was going to burst in when…
Linda: Tina… what if you were me or even Amanda and we decided to do what you decided… and we left our husbands… better yet pushed them out, just like you are doing… you and Lisa wouldn’t be here… all of Amanda’s boys would not be here… all the people you touched, their lives would be different… and the most important one that comes to mind is Lewis… I think he would of killed himself if you weren’t his friend… and you know that’s the truth…
Tina: (Talking and acting very defeated)… Mom I just want to give her a way out…
Bette couldn’t listen any more…
Bette: (Walking in… and in a very stern voice… almost yelling…) Is that what you’re doing… giving me a way out…(Hands on her hips)
Tina: I have come to terms with this… I’ve accepted it… in fact I’m not going on Monday… but I will have a baby… no one is stopping me from experiencing having a baby…
Bette: So your willing to have a baby… but not with me…
Tina: Bette I love you enough to let you go… to find someone who will be WHOLE…
Bette: Let me ask you this Tina… before you through “US” away… what if I was the one … what if Dr. Wilson found a lump in my breast… would you leave me…
Tina: Never…
Bette: Then why won’t you give me the courtesy of making up my own mind…
why do you assume I would leave… all I know is that if it was me… you’re the only one I would want to help me through this… do you think I am that shallow… that I would just leave you… The vows I said to you less then 3 weeks ago… I meant every word… evidently you didn’t… baby I love you with all that I am… but without you I am nothing…

Thank Goodness Tina finally came around. Thanks for this touch of drama. I was just thinking about emailing to ask for some drama because I always wonder how they would they react if anything would happen to the other. But in mind it was always Bette that was the one that something happened to. Please let Tina be okay. Any hope for a posting on your other fic????
Dammit MOM now I want wonton soup and it’s hard to find good soup around here. =( Yes Tina was a perfect jackass but we all have our moments. That’s good that Tina’s appointment was moved up because waiting sucks.
It would appear it takes a village and the entire extended family (Second Cousin Edith, can you come over?) to knock some sense into Tina’s extra thick skull. I wasn’t aware that fear quickly lays down new layers of calcium to the cranium. I’m glad they finally succeeded. Smart move on Bette’s part to get Dr. Wilson to speed up the schedule. I betcha that everything will turn out fine and they’ll be scheduling an insemination session as they leave this appointment.
Man…thank you for reeling Tina in…she was wayyy out there. I am glad they are all with her. I am sure everything will be fine. I am currently reading a story where Tina had cancer and DIED (cassandra_b)…that story is emotionally draining but the writing is soooo good I can’t not read it…I just have to read a little and walk away…then read some more. I hope this story stays with them happy and healthy and in love. Thanks for posting Amanda.

This is hard on any family but for a woman it seems to be the hardest. Especially if the take the entire breast. I am glad that mom, Lisa and Bette could talk to Tina and get her to feel better about herself.
Tina got her senses back! what a wonderful thing! the doctor said that the 99.99% are a benign then it will be and if not she needs to keep around the person that she loves and love her. Great post Amanda! take care

Sorry it has been so long since I have commented, but you know,life sometimes gets in the way. Hey MG, this is great, working in some real life stuff. You know I love this story, but you also know I loved your other story that you have just completely abandoned, shame on you. LOL. Thanks for sharing your talent.

Amanda, That was so tormented and then touching as Tina started to see the support and love around her instead of focussing on the darkest of potentail outcomes. Loved it as it demonstrate the ability of love to conquer all demons; even the ones you create yourself. Can’t wait to see where this leads. More please and soon, Your Loyal Fan.
