Bette: get some rest… you need to sleep… good night Tee… I love you…
Tina: Good night Bette…
Bette waited for the I Love you… but she never said it… it had to be the longest night of her life… Bette didn’t close her eyes… and either did Tina… she heard her cry all night…
Morning finally came around…
Bette got out of bed first and made coffee… Tina walked into the kitchen… they both looked like hell…
Bette: Good morning baby
Tina: Good morning Bette
Bette: You feeling better this morning…
Tina: I think I am… I was thinking all night… you know I bet they read the wrong films… I wonder if that ever happens… I checked myself a few times last night and I felt nothing… its probably an insurance scam…
well I’m not going to fall for it…
Bette: what are you saying… you’re not having it done
Tina: No I don’t think so… more problems start when they go and disrupt things… and like I said… I didn’t feel a thing… and you never did
Bette: Tee… we are not doctors… and I think you should reconsider this… you heard her… now its nothing… if you wait… 5 years from now it could be something…
Tina: yeah but in 5 years I will have my babies… no one is stopping me from having my babies…
Bette: And what happens when your babies have no mother…
Tina: I don’t want to talk about that… are you almost ready… I want to see my mother…
Bette: Lets get dressed…
The ride was very quiet… Tina looked out the window… she hardly smiled… they finally pulled into Tina’s parents home… Tina gets out… leaving a very frustrated Bette in the car… about 15 minutes later
Lisa came out to the car…
Lisa: What’s going on
Bette: I wish I knew…
Lisa: Bette I can’t believe you would leave her…
Bette: What are you talking about… I’m not going anywhere…
Lisa: She is telling mom and dad that’s its over between the two of you… and you sitting out here… well… JESUS Bette… get your ASS in there
Bette goes running into the house… Tina just turns around and walks up the stairs to her old bedroom
Bette: Mom… what did she tell you…
Linda: she said that she has breast cancer and you are leaving her…
Bette: well I hope you don’t believe her… and first of all she does not have breast cancer… the doctor felt a little thing about the size of a pea… she had a mammogram and the doctor just wants to remove the pea size lump… she also told Tina that she was 99.99% positive it was nothing… but if she didn’t have it removed now… well in time who knows what it could turn into…
Linda: so she has given up… you wait here I need to have a talk with my daughter…
Walking into the bedroom… Tina was lying down with her eyes closed…
Linda: WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU…
Tina: I see you talked to Bette
Linda: what did you think she was just going to disappear… and why would you say what you said down stairs to us…
Tina: Mom… what’s the difference… they cut me open and then I have to hear… Oh I’m so sorry… but you do have cancer… but with chemo and radiation… and plastic surgery… no one will ever know you had a mastectomy…
Linda: I don’t believe you… the doctor said it was nothing… and here your ready to go and pick out a coffin… what happened to the woman I raised… and God forbid you do have cancer… you have so little faith in Bette… you think she would just up and leave… don’t you know she adores you… the way she looks at you… dammmmm… I’ve heard the two of you…
Tina: That’s it mom… Bette is a very sexual woman… she could of had her pick of all the women in West Hollywood… what makes you think she will stay with me… through Chemo… you know how sick that makes a person… and
her wife… well half a woman… I couldn’t see her watch me every day… so I am giving her a way out…

I know that the waiting is the worst possible thing that anybody goes through if there is a possiblity of cancer. I hope that Bette, Linda and Lisa can talk Tina into going through with the procedure. Bette would never walk out on Tina because of something like this. She loves Tina too much to walk away from her.

this kind of stress would eat anybody alive! and is so understandig that Tina is so scary but she should keep around to the people who care for her like Bette and don’t push her out cause this is hurting Bette more than he can imagine. Please post as soon as you get some rest! i want to know what is next!
OK, MG, I take back taking back what I said about Lisa, these Kennard women become fucking irrational under stress! Of course the doctor telling you A. you have a lump in your breast and B. I’m going to cut it out will induce both fear and stress, but one doesn’t have to start assuming the worst to the exclusion of every other possibility. I mean in every instance: it’s cancer, Bette will leave, the doctor is a fraud. How about waiting for some test results? How about having just a modicum of faith in the one you just married? How about a second opinion once an opinion is given? Crap! If I were Bette I’d leave the lunatic! (Just kidding)
Okay…I know this is a serious topic and Tina is stressing…but I had to chuckle for a minute when she came up with that ish she told her family…I was like WTF? Where did THAT come from? This was worse than that game where you start out telling a story and at the end it changes…Tina’s story changed DRASTICALLY from the car to the house. She needs to have her butt there Monday…shoot Dr. Wilson should have done it that same day. She’s gonna drive herself crazy. She needs more faith in Bette. Amanda keep our girls healthy.

I think Tina has every right to freak out about the lump. Bette will just have to hang in there until she calms down. Hopefully, Linda will be able to calm her down. Your not going kill OUR Tina, are you AMANDA ? We already had to suffer Dana’s death with IC, please don’t make us all suffer again? We can trust you, right? Right?

I can understand why Tina is getting so scared… the shock will do that to you. Bette had to be patient with her… right now she all over the place, but I’m sure she’ll calm down and do the right thing… right, Amanda? Please? LOL… thanks and all the love to ya.
Just like with Lisa and the calendar and all she could see was PREGNANT, all Tina can see now is CANCER. I’d probably spaz out too, but she has ro realize Bette won’t up and leave her. Dr. Wilson has a point that one day that little lump could turn into something. I had a mole removed from the outside of my left breast a few years ago. I’ve had it as long as a I can remember but eventually it got bigger and changed shape. My gynecologist told me he wanted me to have it removed, and I’m glad I did. When the report on it came back, it was benign with atypia cells, so it could’ve or would’ve become cancerous.
I totally undestand why Tina is having a bit of a meltdown. It is quite natural for your first reaction to be one of horror and to assume the worst. Hopefully her mom can calm her down. Please check your PM’s. Great job.

Poor Bette,Tina has made a mountain out of a mole hill. Stress will do that You say thing that will upset a friend and love ones and dont even remember what you said or do. That is what Tina is doing.
Hey Amanda, the lurker returns. Hope you had a fabulous New Year. First ly I must stand up and applaud you for raising this important issue. Cancer can affect anyone of us and at any age so it is critical that you educate and inform people about the preventative action we can all take and checking oursleves is one of the initial steps. Then by acting promptly so many potential diseases may be stopped in their tracks. It is just critical that we do not ignore any changes in our bodies as prevention is trully o much better than cure. Soap box over for now. I do love this tale and the wonderful journey you have given me the pleasure of attending wih you. Long may it continue. Your grateful and Loyal Fan.
