Bette helps Tina change… and gets her settled back into the bed… the nurse comes back… sets up an IV… puts the blood pressure cuff on… takes her vitals… and another contraction hits…
Bette: (To the nurse)… When do you think Dr. Wilson will be here…
Nurse: She will be here in plenty of time… first babies take their time… and I won’t be leaving your side… so please don’t worry… I have been doing this for over 20 years… and as soon as I think the doctor should be here… I will call…
Tina: Oh god this one hurts…
Turning on her side Bette rubs her lower back…
Tina: OMG… I feel like pushing…
Nurse: Breath Tina… focus… you’re doing great…
And again another contraction hits… just as Dr. Wilson walks in…
DR. Wilson: Well ladies I didn’t think I would be seeing you again tonight… let me have a look Tina… your doing fine… I have a feeling its going to go quick… so let me change and I’ll be right back… don’t go anywhere…
Tina: We don’t plan on moving… just hurry back Doc…
Nurse: Dr. Wilson… I think you won’t have time to change…
Looking down… I think your right…
Dr Wilson then guides Tina… the head crowned… ok Tina come on PUSH… Bette lifts her back up…
Linda: Bette you may want to go to the end of the bed… so you can watch…
Tina looked up at Bette…
Bette: No mom… we both can see just fine right here… come on Tee… one more push and we can watch our baby come into this world… Tina smiled… bared down and the baby was born…
Dr. Wilson: Well welcome little lady… (Holding her up)… you have a daughter…
Bette: OMG Tee she is beautiful… she looks just like you…
Linda: She’s right… Tina that’s exactly how you looked when you were born… beautiful…
Dr. Wilson: Bette would you like to cut the cord…
Bette: Yeah… I would like that…
She kisses Tina and then cuts the cord… she has one hell of a set of lungs… as she places the baby on Tina’s chest… for her to get a closer look…
Bette: You did it baby… you did a great job… I have my baby Tee…
Tina: Hi Tessa… you are a special little lady… and your mommies love you so much… and that special lady is your grandma… mom meet Theresa Kennard Porter… Tessa…
Linda: Tessa… Bette you got your wish… your baby Tee…
Bette: Yes I did… and you know what… there are a lot of people who are waiting to know if today is your birthday… so let me tell everyone the good news…
Dr. Wilson: Ok we need to check her out… and Tina I need another push from you…
After that was over… Tina closed her eyes and she was fast asleep…
Bette slips out to go to the waiting room… it was filled… Alice, Dana, Shane, Kit, Lisa, James, Jill, Jim, and grandpa…
Lisa: Bette… did she have the baby…
Bette: Yes… we have a daughter… Theresa Kennard Porter weighing 7lbs. and 10 ounces… and 21 inches long… and she looks just like her mommy…
They all hugged and kissed and everyone was so happy…
Alice: When can we see them…
Bette: Right now Tina is resting… but the baby is right over in the nursery… you know they have to do a lot of things… but the nurse told me you all can watch her first bath… I need to get back to Tina…
Lisa: Hey guys… right here… hey grandma…
Linda: Lisa she is beautiful… she looks just like the two of you looked when you were born…
Lisa: Look there she is…
Alice: Oh wow… a blond…
Dana: And listen to her crying…
Shane: That will wake you up in the middle of the night…
Frank puts his arms around Linda… tears were building up in their eyes…
Linda: Frank… the clock just went back 25 years… I swear she looks just like Tina and Lisa…
Frank: She does… and they all look like their beautiful Grandma…

Tessa, Bette’s little Tee is here and thank goodness all went well. I started off late in the story but went back to the beginnimg. I now have been patiently waiting for each post and get excited when I see one. I hope that another 4 years or longer goes by before this story ever see the end.
