Bette: I want to know what happened at your meeting
Tina: it was a meeting she could tell Bette was about to explode well you know what Bette I don’t want to talk right now in fact I think I’m going to bed yes I’m going to bed and I’ll even sleep in the guest room this way you won’t be reminded that I’m drunk
Bette: so did Scott take you home Tee
Tina: for your information… he did NOT I called a cab I know I’m drunk and I didn’t want to drive So Ms. Porter have a good night

Tina does her best to walk straight to the bathroom she manages to freshen herself up at the sink and grabbed the robe behind the door this will have to do tonight she gets into the guest room and settles into bed her last thoughts were thank God I am drunk she instantly fell asleep
Bette was still angry about what she witnessed at the restaurant that she couldn’t settle in right away she paced the room a bit and then out of the corner of her eye she saw the “Melvin at the Beach” VCR cover her eyes followed the other toys that she moved earlier and left on the night table her mood softened realizing that she was so wrong about her behavior tonight she whispers how stupid are you Porter there is no reason to suspect Tina she loves you she doesn’t want men anymore or anyone else just you
While Tina sleeps Bette’s feelings of guiltiness and loneliness are keeping her up all night she is sitting in a chair just thinking about how much this woman has changed her life as she is staring and thinking of her wonderful woman she feels a burning sensation on her ring finger on her left hand she looks at her finger realizing that she must have been twirling her engagement ring the whole time she had twisted it to the point where her ring has rubbed the skin raw no blood yet Thank God
Bette walking into the bathroom looking for something to put on her finger she found some Lidocaine ointment used for burns or abrasions she smiles only Tina would think of such things she removes her ring and places it on the counter and applies the ointment she returns the cream to the cabinet and she glances down at her ring on the counter suddenly she is overwhelmed with feelings of loneliness she puts the ring on her right finger and heads towards the guest bedroom there is no way in ***** she is going to sleep alone especially since they have been apart for most of the week

well what can i say… i typed 14 pages on my micro soft word and it only came up as 1 page… other times i post 5 pages and it comes up 5 pages on this site… who knows…

Hello Amanda: Public Drunkness shows complete lack of respect for that individual and other’s around her. It was nice to see the communication between them to resolve the situation. Looking forward to the next one. Excellent As Always.

Just caught up on all the chapters since I was away last week on vacation. Of course I trust you, Amanda. Trust really is a everything in a relationship. It seems tha Alice did a good thing this time in holding Bette back. Hey, I can’t agree with you more on your Author’s Note. A big “Thank You” to Janice as well for the last few chaters.. Hey girl! I am still around and reading! I am just bogged down with work, and can only print and read late at night, but I had to spare the time to comment….And of course, I trust you, and know that you will not have these two fighting or apart for too long. I loved the chapter, especially the fact that they were able to work it out. It’s good that Bette didn’t decide to be like Tina and go to bed angry and alone. These two so belong together. I love the connecting and learning about each other, which they really need to do before moving on. I am looking forward to their next step. May I put in a request for when things progress further? Did I SAY I didn’t trust you? lol Obviously things aren’t always what they seem, hence why spoilers shouldn’t be taken as absolute truth (even if that ends up being the case). My issue was the drunkenness and being loud. I just don’t deal well with drunk people due to an event or two from a few years ago. But thank God this Bette is actually willing to talk to Tina about her doubts and fears. It’s a nice escape from what I usually read.
Trust you? Of course…which leads me to believe you’re up to something. LOL. Kidding…trust – yes. Really like that Bette thought it through and went to Tina. Tina’s right, they need to have open communication when their insecurities come up. Please continue.

Please check your pm’s. This chapter just goes to show you that you should hear the other person out before you jump to conclusion. Bette would have made a fool out of herself if she has appreached Scott and Tina that night. Scott would have probably understood, but Tina would have been mortified. Great stuff Amanda :o)
