"Fuck!" Bette cried.
"We have to pay four months of rent in two weeks!" Tina exclaimed.
"On top of our gas, electric, and phone bill that’s over 2,000 bucks!" Bette said.
"We don’t even make that in a month," Tina said, "what are we gonna do?"
"I don’t know."
The door swung open and their long time best friend Alice walked in with a six pack of beer and a box of pizza, "what up Portard!"
"Eww Alice don’t combine our names like that," Tina said.
"Well you guys are always together!" Alice said, "it’s better than TiBette."
"Isn’t that a country?" Bette said.
"That’s why it’s lame!" Alice said, "it’s not original like Portard. Why do you look so stressed out?"
"We’re being foreclosed," Tina said showing her the flyer.
"Oh shit!" Alice said sitting down across from Bette and Tina. "Damn, you know Tasha and I don’t use our basement, you guys can stay there if need be."
"I also know we drive Tasha insane," Bette said, "we need to find away to make 2,000 bucks in less than two weeks."
"Well there’s one sure way to make that kind of money," Alice said.
"Short of prostitution?" Tina said.
"Why don’t you make a porno," Alice grinned.
"A porno?" Bette said incredulously.
"How is that different than prostitution?" Tina said laughing.
"It’s only prostitution if you’re doing it with a stranger," Alice said, "look you hire a few low profile porn stars that will take very little money, and then you two do a scene together."
"Us?" Bette and Tina exclaimed looking at each other.
"Yeah, I mean come on you’ve been best friends and roommates for 15 years," Alice said, "just think of it as benefits."
"I don’t want to risk our friendship," Tina said.
"Yeah, we love each other too much," Bette said.
"Well I think living in my basement or in shelter will risk it more," Alice said.
Bette and Tina looked at each other then at Alice who was smirking victoriously. "It’s our only choice Bette," Tina said.
"Yeah and Shane does photography and film, she can help us," Bette said.
"And my basement is completely empty…and spacious," Alice said.
"Tasha’s gonna be okay with that?" Tina asked.
"Of course not but that’s the dynamic of our relationship!" Alice said cheerfully, "we fight then fuck."
