Pittsburgh

 tina tip-toed across the snowy yard and stepped onto the icy porch. there she found her best friend smoking some pot that she stole from her dads secret hiding spot, which was often. tina was nervous to talk to tegan. they hadn’t spoken in almost a week and this was defiantly weird and shouldn’t be happening to people that have been friends practically since birth. tina was especially nervous since tegan never got mad at her, not even the time tina pushed her down a hill when they were four.

tina: "hey…buddy..are you still mad?" was all she could muster

tegan reached into her pocket, pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

tegan: "i’m not mad tina i’m kind of hurt. we finally find out that it was your boyfriends best friend that made my senior year a living hell and your still nice to him." she waved the smoke away from her face and pulled her hood over her head. "i just don’t get it, of all the people in the world i never expected you to turn on me like that."

tina: "babe i didn’t turn on you" she said sincerely "i was just trying to keep peace but i understand how that hurt you now."

tina hugged her shivering friend tight and stole a hit from her cigarette.

tina: "your my best friend and my number one. boys are boys. fuck them!" she said with a smile

tegan: "why the hell is it so cold? this temperature is unnatural, inhumane even. who in their right mind came here and said ‘oh what a lovely place this is i bet the winter is just as nice, doris we shall settle here’ no! whosever fault it is that i have been stuck here for the last eighteen years was probably mentally unstable"

tegan: "well that does explain alot." she smirked

tegan: "shut up a hole! so you going to stick around, my favorite show is on!."

tina: "it’s not that crazy lesbian dating show you’ve been talking about non stop is it?"

tegan: "it’s not crazy, and bette is hot i’m sorry. i’ve never seen someone so hot in my entire life. these girls have no idea"

the two friends finally escaped the cold as they hurried into the warm dimly lit house. they made their way up the oak steps and into tegan’s bedroom, shutting the door behind them. tina assumed her normal position and sprawled across the left side of the bed. she watched as tegan searched the channels with excitement.
