“but, what about the baby and the custody hearing coming up?”, Shane asked.

“I have a plan for that. I will continue to split custody with Tina, and I will be attending the hearing. I’m going to let the judge know, that I’m moving to New York, and I’m going to ask, for a longer parental visit, with Angelica. Instead of seeing her twice a week, I’m hoping the judge will add 2 more days. The job I’ll be working at, is more than enough, to support Angelica. Someday, if she wants, I could put her in a good school, with good teachers. You know give her a chanve to be educated, well like I was. It’s not about Tina anymore, it’s about my daughter. I’ve wasted so much time, I could of been living well right about now. So, what do you think?”, Bette asked.

“I think you have it figured out right. I think you derserve the chance to start over, and if Tina wants you, she’ll come find you. It’s that simple. I think the reason why she’s not taking you serious, is because your still in L.A. lounging around, and waiting for her to fall from the tree. It ain’t gonna happen Bette, atleast no time soon. Tina’s needs that chance to hit reality, which could mean her falling flat on her face, but maybe it might get her, to realize that, she made a big mistake. Maybe this is the big brake you need. You need to get away, and find Bette, atleast give yourself that chance. I’m sure it’ll be worth it in the end”, Shane replied.

“your right”, Bette said. “I’m gonna do it. I’m gonna take the job”, Bette adds. She arched her neck back, and exhaled with relief in her mind and body. She hasn’t felt this good in a long time. She was happy that she had the strength to get up and leave. She was able to do it with her, or without her. If Tina wanted Bette, she would have to make the first step. The brunette was tired of talking and explaining. She needed a break from L.A. A long one. Maybe she might come back in the future. Who knows, but until then, a journey awaited her in the big east.
