“So it’ll just be you, Greg, Peter and Maxine meeting him? You sure you don’t need me to go with you?”

“I think we’ll be fine sweetie, but thank you. I know you’ve got a lot of things to wrap up before the winter break and Cole has some client meetings. We’ll meet you both here afterwards. Angie is staying with Liz and Suzie in Connecticut.”

“Do you think we’ll ever get our child to want to come home?” Tina asked. It seemed like she never saw her daughter anymore.

“Not likely. She’s having a great time. Whenever I talk to her on the phone she always begs for one more sleepover.”

“Your mother is great with her. It’s nice that our kids will know their grandmother.”

“Yeah … who would have thought? I still pinch myself sometimes to make sure I’m not dreaming that my mother is really here and I have a brother.”

“Just think that maybe by this time next year you’ll be pregnant with our baby.”

Bette leaned over and kissed her wife. They’d decided that with everything going on and having to find a new donor that it was best to wait until after the first of the year to start the process.

“I can’t wait to make a baby with you. I love you.”

“I love you too babe.” They kissed again then got back to work before they got too distracted. Having Angie away so much had its perks when it came to adding back the spontaneity in their love making.

“OK let’s finish up this list so I can call the hotel to make sure they can accommodate us on such short notice.”

“OK let’s double check the count for dinner.”

“OK we have 12 from Los Angeles, Peter makes 13 and the three of us make it 16. Then we add Cole, Greg, Maxine, Emma, Liz, Suzie, James, Lisa, Peggy and Winnie’s family that’s five more; total 30. Don’t make that face.”

“What face?”

“The eye rolling when I mentioned Winnie face.”

“I don’t roll my eyes.” Tina defended.

“Yes, you do Tee. I thought you and Winnie were getting along?”

“We are. I just still think she has something against me.”

“Then maybe you two should hash it out. She’s moved on Tee. The kids have adjusted to Helena being gone. Winnie’s remarried. Her wife Judith is a sweetheart and their son Mikey is adorable. Angie loves having another cousin. You see how well she gets along with Wilson and Jun Yin. They are Peggy’s family sweetie. We’re bound to spend at least some holidays with them. I don’t think Winnie wants there to be any animosity between you but if you feel there is then just talk to her.”
