Molly was Shane’s ‘straight girl crush’ before Molly as she put it ‘turned gay for Shane’. Molly’s parents Phyllis and Leonard Kroll were academics who disapproved of Shane because of her lack of formal education, but the two lovers would not allow the parents to interfere in their relationship. They had something special that given time might develop into an everlasting love.

“I hope they make it. I’d love to see Shane settle down.” Tina said wistfully. Shane was the only one of their friends still playing the field.

“I think she’s ready for a good nurturing relationship. I’ve never heard her talk about any of her girlfriends like she does about Molly so maybe she’s the one.”

“Our little Shane is growing up. What about Jenny?”

“Ah Jenny … she’s bringing Nikki Stevens.”

“The actress … isn’t she a little young. I didn’t know she was a lesbian?”

“Apparently not many people do.”

Jenny was in a somewhat ‘secret’ relationship with a barely legal popular actress. Nikki’s publicist and agent discouraged the relationship for fear that her ‘coming out’ would ruin her acting career. Truth be told, it was more likely that they feared that their cash cow would dry up if her fans didn’t support her lifestyle choices.

“We’ll need to alert the hotel to have extra security once her fans learn she’s in town.”

“Yeah … you better make a note of that.” Tina smiled cutely as she noticed Bette putting an asterisk next to Nikki’s name and a footnote *extra security.

“Ha ha very funny … go ahead and make fun of my lists but they work to keep everything organized.”

“I know babe. You’re just so cute when you’re being anal.” Tina teased.

“I’m not so sure how to take that.” Bette pouted.

“I meant it in a good way. So that takes care of the west coast folks. They arrive on Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving right?”

“Yes. I’ve already made the arrangements with Peggy’s pilot. The car service for ground transportation at both ends is already set up too.”

“OK … let’s not forget Peter.”

“No I haven’t forgotten Peter. I spoke to him yesterday. He’s flying in on Sunday night so he can be here for the meeting with Jeffrey Rains on Monday.”
