    Chapter 8

    Tina launched herself forward and hugged her friend tightly.
    Bette had been back at the gallery for a little while when she heard Alice shout from the reception area, that Tina and Dana had arrived in the car park. Bette’s heart started beating faster and she tried to contain her excitement at the thought of seeing Tina again. She felt like a child on Christmas morning. She walked out in the reception area and saw Alice open the door to the two women. 
    The sight of Tina up ahead brought a smile to herself. She felt like a Cheshire cat these days, she was constantly smiling.
    What she was not prepared for however, is how quickly Alice swept Dana away on the pretence of some errants, which meant that she and Tina were now alone.
    Bette approached Tina, and gave her a chaste kiss on the cheek to greet her.
    "Hi" she said "I’m glad you are here!"
    Tina smiled broadly, "Hi"…….there is no other place I’d rather be!" She reached her hand and found Bette’s, "shall we?"
    Bette and Tina strolled hand in hand in the gallery. Bette has reverted full mode in her role of art expert. 
    She delighted Tina with the description of the paintings on display talking about techniques, style and composition. Her unbelievable eloquence enabled Tina to perceive through her words, knowledge and enthusiasm, visual concepts such as perspective, space and emotions.
    She was very moved by the sensitivity which was pouring from Bette.
    They had now reached the sculpture section of the display.  Bette offered Tina the chance to touch one of the art pieces. As Bette placed her body behind Tina, she let her arms cover the lengths of Tina’s. Bette’s hand reached Tina’s and she slowly lifted them towards the sculpture in front of them and was preparing to guide them both over the surface of the sculpture. 
    Tina resisted and said:
    "No…..I want to see something else" she almost whispered.
    "Sorry.." Bette said, thinking that her behaviour had unsettled the blonde.
    "I want to see….you!" Tina said as she slowly turned around in Bette’s arms.
    Tina lifted her hands towards Bette’s face and traced along each feature. The light touch was exquisite as the warm fingers travelled knowingly. They stilled on her lips. 
    At that moment Bette spoke so softly that it was barely audible but Tina heard it and surrendered to the request.

    4. Ok now, that’s mean!!! LOL… But I have to say… WOW! Yeah, the discovery of Bette’s face with her hands is such an intimate moment. No wonder Bette couldn’t help requesting… What? What did Bette request?… Although we all know the answer to that, please put it into words and give us that *biiiiip* (TBC in next chapter of “At first sight”…) Thanks! ;)

    5. Okay…it’s a good thing there’s a chapter every day…you’re getting good at the cliff hangers… :D when I get home from work tomorrow..the first thing I need to do is I need to know what happens next…

    6. Hmmmmmm, this was a cruelty leaving us in the expectation. — ” I Can kiss you ” – ” yes, yes, yes, yes, thousand times yes” – I love his story.

    9. OMG..This is both, sensual and tender When i read that..She want to see her [Bette]..I know what is coming next.. Wow…AND YOU NAILED IT!. …PPS…I’M DYING TO KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT!

    14. Wow, it looks like Tina is once again bravely stepping into unknown territory and embracing her feelings towards Bette. Please don’t leave us hanging too long. I want to Tina fulfilling Bette’s quiet request :)

    16. OMG… I’m in panic mode on trying to find the rest of the story… :-/. Your story is just too good!! :-) can’t help myself to re-read while waiting for the next chapter :-D PPS and thanks for sharing this wonderfully written story!
