Are you the one? Part 12

Alice exhaled as she came out from the passenger seat.

"Hey, Al, I guess I’ll leave it all to you now. Call me if you need anything. And good luck!" With that Shane hugged Alice and drove away.

Alice made her way to the elevator. As it stopped at the floor that Dana’s stayed, she walked out with her legs shaking. She was thinking about how to make it up to Dana after she had slapped her, not once but twice. She kicked herself in her mind as she should have listened to Dana first before making the drastic move. And it hurted her too. She slapped her really hard, and when she left Dana alone at the street she could see Dana’s cheek was all red at the impact. Her heart was aching at the pain on Dana’s cheek. She arrived and was now standing in front of the door. She exhaled and knocked onto it lightly. After a few knocks, there was still no sign of Dana opening the door. She knocked harder. Shit, she wasn’t in her room. Where would she go? It’s not like she has a lot of friends in LA. Shit! Shit! Shit! Alice cursed under her breath. She immediately made her way to the receptionist.

"Hey, I am looking for Dana Fairbanks at room 5-18 but she’s not in. May I know when did she go out?"

"Hi, hmmm, let me check." Alice waited impatiently.

"Hmm, yeah, her keys are with us. She dropped them over this morning."

    "Ohh, thanks."

Shit! Shit! Shit! Was all Alice could say. Her handphone is with me, where could she go? After a while she thought she might as well go back to her place and wait. Maybe Dana will call her later, she thought. She made a mental note that if Dana still didn’t call or show up after tomorrow morning, she would call the cops. She got into a cab and headed home.

Alice sighed as she looked out from the window.Oh my god, please don’t tell me she’s heading back to London already. As she was kicking herself in her mind, she saw a familiar car parked in front of a convinient store.Gossshhh, that’s the car Dana borrowed from her friend on our dates. Hey, can you please pull over at the side now??

    1. Well done, uhhuh!!! I am so glad that they finally caught up with each other. Nice detail with the ring. A should be totally elated. This was fun and joyful to read. Doing a HDD now. I thought you did a great job with their conversation. Am I right that D was more in love with A. It really appeared that way. Nonetheless, it was a happy day. Can’t wait to find out their families’ reaction. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

    2. Woo hoo! I was thinking about this story today and hoping for an update. Love Alice’s detective work in tracking Dana down. I guess she always had that reporter streak. I’m a little miffed at Alice. I think she should have been a bit more contrite with Dana. That being said… I did get all mushy inside at Dana’s words to Alice and that everything is out in the open. Too sweet that Dana was wearing the ring around her neck. And I guess there is no question about them being compatible physically. Hot! I have a feeling that Dana has opened a can of worms with her statement about London. Should be interesting to see what happens next. Great job, uhhuh. Thanks!!
