Another Look Inside (Sequel to Bette and the Business Woman)

They walked hand in hand down the street of the antique village.  They leaisurly strolled and chatted as they stopped to look in a shop or two.  They weren’t really interested in buying any new furniture but it was fun browsing and spending some time together.  MJ pulled the two of them along as they traded leash responsibilities.  He was still small but he was strong willed like his namesake.
As they walked around one shop Harmony stopped I her tracks.  She was standing in front of a stunning mahogany piano.  It had dramatic detailing and pure ivory keys.  She pulled out the matching beach.
Harmony:  Hey babe!  Look at this.

Bette walked over as she sat down and began to fiddle with the keys.

Bette:  “It’s gorgeous.  But you don’t…”

Before Bette could finish her statement Harmony began to play a beautiful song.  She was a bit hesitant at first but soon her fingers were gliding across the keys with great dexterity.  Bette was speechless as she looked on.  She had no idea Harmony had any musical ability because based on her shower studio sessions she really didn’t.  soon Harmony stopped.  She looked at the piano with amazement.

Harmony:  “Sounds pretty good to be so old.”

    Bette:  “Harmony I didn’t…”

She was cut off again when the shop owner came over clapping.  As soon as Harmony was aware of the aging mans presence she shot up out of her seat.

Shop owner:  “that was phenomenal.  You have a gift.  You were made for this piece.”

Bette:  “Was she ever!  How much would this run?”

Shop owner:  “Well I like you girls so…”

Harmony:  “Oh, no.  BB that’s alright.  Thank you anyway sir.”

    Bette:  “But Harm…”

Harmony started towards the door and walked out.

Bette:  “I’m sorry sir…um, do you have a card?”

After receiving the information she went outside and found Harmony kneeling down play with MJ.

    Bette:  “Firecracker, what just happened?”

    Harmony stood up.

Harmony:  “What are you talking about?”

Bette:  “You basically ran out of that shop just now when you realized you had an audience.”

Harmony:  “I don’t like to play for people.”  She trailed off for a second.  “Look can we go?”
