Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 8
“I was wandering the Piazza Navona one afternoon, looking for a birthday gift for Mama B, when I saw this painting. It was not finished, but it took my breath away.”
“So did you buy it?”
“That’s where the story starts to get a little strange. I tried to purchase it, but when I inquired with the artist how much they would like for it, they stated that it was not for sale.”
“Really? An artist who didn’t want to sell their work? That’s highly unusual isn’t it?”
“Yes, it caught me by surprise completely. Even when I presented my business card she wouldn’t sell it to me.”
“She?”
Angelica smiled at her Mom. “Yes, Mom I said she. Her name was Lyndsay Adams, and it turned out that she was from North Carolina.”
“You seem to have gotten quite a bit of information from someone who wouldn’t sell you a painting.” Tina teased her daughter a little.
Seeing this playful look on her Mother’s face, Angie defended herself quickly “It wasn’t like that.”
“Uh Huh….”
“Mom.”
“Ok…I’m sorry. So she would not sell you the painting, but…..”
“We spent some time together seeing the sites.”
Tina just stared at her daughter, not sure if she should ask any further questions or just wait and let Angie share more with her in her own time. Deciding on the latter, she waited as Angie tried to put together in her mind how she felt about the mysterious woman.
“Mom, she was amazing.”
Tina looked at Angelica and saw the sparkle in her eyes as she continued to relay the things they had done together in Rome and how Angie had taken her to the Roseto Comuale. Tina chuckled to herself. Angie truly was Bette Porter’s daughter….taking a woman to the rose gardens, it was something that a young Bette would have done to impress a special woman. This was clearly the reason Tina had seen her daughter smile a few days earlier when she had watched her from the doorway of her room.
“So are you in touch with this woman? When do we get to meet her”
Not sure how to explain what had happened her last night in Rome, Angie simply stated that they were not in touch. Tina saw the change in the demeanor of her daughter and knew that not all was well in Angie’s life. She seemed conflicted

I feel so bad for Ange and Lyndsay. But I have faith that Mama B and Mama T will step in to assist in the coming together of the two love birds. Love Tina telling Angie about the first time Bette kissed her. I feel really bad for Lyndsay though, she doesn have Bette and Tina to turn to, well she doesn’t know she does. I’m sorry to hear your down in the dumps, but does the fact we love your story and keeping looking for the next post help you feel better?
Sorry that your are in a funk and not feeling well. I know that sometimes in life we have things going on that are very demanding and emotional. I am sure you have a strong support system of friends and family that you can turn to at this time. Please post when you can because we love your stories. I hope that makes you feel just a little bit better? Take Care
Taz….the story is amazing. I could feel the love between Tina and Ange and Angie and Lyndssay and Bette and Tina and Angie. Just delightful.
Amazing story. Looking forward to more.
Yes…yes…yes…this is exactly how I pictured it. Perfect Taz, just perfect!
Tazzie! *handing you a beer and pulling up a chair* Heck girl what’s the idea of topping me? LMAO! Hope you gals were able to get some things accomplished, the countdown is on. Now, about the story. You can just feel the ache in both of these young girls, as the absence from one another’s lives is setting in. There are those moments in life where absence helps the heart grow fonder, while other times the absence allows a sense of healing in it’s own way. Let’s put Momma B to work tracking this Lyndsay down huh? I know I sure would if my daughter was aching for this young love. The GPS would be smoking!!! LOL. Check your email. xo
So wonderful that Tina can make goosebump after 30+ yrs and Angie can see the love still there. Bette could find this young artist in N.Carolina I’m sure. Hopr you feel better

If you click this balloon it will open up a purchase page where it will ask to buy the software Antivirus 2008. Don’t be tricked by these messages and fight Antivirus 2008″ I hope this will help other to avoid down loading this programme. Taz, this is a wonderful story, our friends Ness & Chicki encourged me to read it last night so that I did. It’s so, so, well so all those warm and fuzzy words all you writers use. I hope that funk your in disapaites soon. Thank you, Md
Hi, TAZ I hope that you are feeling MUCH better soon. Please know that your story and writing brighten a lot of people’s day. When you spread love and joy, it circles around and returns to you. Like others, I feel that Bette will track down Lyndsey, but will be VERY protective of her Boo and (as a parent) will not want for her to get hurt. PPS :o).
Awww, Taz! What a wonderful chapter, explaining all the deep feelings shared by Lindsay and Angie’s. Tina’s complete understanding of her daughter’s emotional state is just overwhelming. Thanks for sharing with us this delightful chapter. PPS Lucero & Marsha (JC’s Salsa Aunties)
