Angelica & The Artist – Chapter 8
For much of the time since she had returned from Rome, her thoughts were of the mysterious woman who walked into her life, turned it upside down in a matter of days and then just as quickly had walked out of it.
It had taken everything Angie had in her not to fly to North Carolina in search of Lyndssay. She had thought about it, but in the end, decided that perhaps it was too much too soon for the other woman to deal with. However, what a few days it had been. Angie smiled at the memory of her time spent with Lyndsay, and especially at the time they spent at the Roseto Comunale. The rose garden had been in full bloom during their visit, and knowing that Lyndsay was seeing it for the first time had made the visit even more special for Angie as she had enjoyed observing it through Lyndsay’s eyes. It was like experiencing it for the first time for her all over again.
Watching her daughter from the doorway, Tina saw the smile on her face as Angie had recalled the memory. She knew that look. Angie had fallen in love……the question was with who?
Not wanting to disturb her daughter, Tina quietly turned and walked back downstairs to the kitchen, where she found Bette reading a magazine.
“Is Angie all settled in?”
“I’m not sure.”
“I thought you went up to check on her?”
“I did, but …..”
“But what? Is something wrong?”
Not sure how to explain what she saw, Tina simply replied that she wasn’t sure if anything was wrong, but she thought Angie looked tired
Just then Angelica appeared before them. “What time are we eating?”
“The usual, dinner should be ready around 6,” answered Tina.
Taking a bottle of water out of the fridge, Angie responded that she was going to go sit outside by the pool for a bit until dinner time.
“OK Boo.” Bette replied.
Once Angie had waked through the doors Bette turned back to Tina and mentioned that she knew something was on her mind. They talked for a few minutes about whether to approach her, and in the end decided that they would leave her for a day or two. Angie had a habit of closing herself off when something bothered her, much like Bette had always done. Once she had a chance to process everything in her mind and when she was ready to talk, she would seek out one or both of her Moms…just like she always did.

I feel so bad for Ange and Lyndsay. But I have faith that Mama B and Mama T will step in to assist in the coming together of the two love birds. Love Tina telling Angie about the first time Bette kissed her. I feel really bad for Lyndsay though, she doesn have Bette and Tina to turn to, well she doesn’t know she does. I’m sorry to hear your down in the dumps, but does the fact we love your story and keeping looking for the next post help you feel better?
Sorry that your are in a funk and not feeling well. I know that sometimes in life we have things going on that are very demanding and emotional. I am sure you have a strong support system of friends and family that you can turn to at this time. Please post when you can because we love your stories. I hope that makes you feel just a little bit better? Take Care
Taz….the story is amazing. I could feel the love between Tina and Ange and Angie and Lyndssay and Bette and Tina and Angie. Just delightful.
Amazing story. Looking forward to more.
Yes…yes…yes…this is exactly how I pictured it. Perfect Taz, just perfect!
Tazzie! *handing you a beer and pulling up a chair* Heck girl what’s the idea of topping me? LMAO! Hope you gals were able to get some things accomplished, the countdown is on. Now, about the story. You can just feel the ache in both of these young girls, as the absence from one another’s lives is setting in. There are those moments in life where absence helps the heart grow fonder, while other times the absence allows a sense of healing in it’s own way. Let’s put Momma B to work tracking this Lyndsay down huh? I know I sure would if my daughter was aching for this young love. The GPS would be smoking!!! LOL. Check your email. xo
So wonderful that Tina can make goosebump after 30+ yrs and Angie can see the love still there. Bette could find this young artist in N.Carolina I’m sure. Hopr you feel better
This is a great story and I love it, this was a very sweet chapter:) PPSWith ur permission Taz I would like to use ur comment box to inform the other readers of this site about the ad for the anti virus 2008 which appears at the bottom of the page and offers free check up of ur computer system but actully infects it. I down loaded and have a lot of problem getting rid of it. This is wat is said about this programme “Antivirus 2008, is a rogue anti-spyware program. Antivirus 2008 gets into your computer while You try to install a fake Video ActiveX Codec. After codec download you will be disturbed by pop-up advertisements saying your computer is infected and that you should do a system scan with a software called Antivirus 2008. After downloading and installing Antivirus 2008 it again starts showing fake security messages. But this time they appear as normal system messages. If you click this balloon it will open up a purchase page where it will ask to buy the software Antivirus 2008. Don’t be tricked by these messages and fight Antivirus 2008″ I hope this will help other to avoid down loading this programme. Antivirus 2008 is a serious threat to You computer as it adds A Trojan Zlob to Your computer. Protect Your computer from such attacks and Remove Antivirus 2008 now”
Taz, this is a wonderful story, our friends Ness & Chicki encourged me to read it last night so that I did. It’s so, so, well so all those warm and fuzzy words all you writers use. I hope that funk your in disapaites soon. Thank you, Md
Hi, TAZ I hope that you are feeling MUCH better soon. Please know that your story and writing brighten a lot of people’s day. When you spread love and joy, it circles around and returns to you. Like others, I feel that Bette will track down Lyndsey, but will be VERY protective of her Boo and (as a parent) will not want for her to get hurt. PPS :o).
Awww, Taz! What a wonderful chapter, explaining all the deep feelings shared by Lindsay and Angie’s. Tina’s complete understanding of her daughter’s emotional state is just overwhelming. Thanks for sharing with us this delightful chapter. PPS Lucero & Marsha (JC’s Salsa Aunties)
