All I wanted to do all day long was kiss you. Please tell me if u don’t want me to. Chapter–three
"What’s wrong?"
"Bette’s late. I don’t know where she is. She should have been here by now."
"Did you call the office?"
"Yeah. James said she left about a half an hour ago. Something’s different with her Alice. She’s been acting strange all day."
Alice leans forward and buries her face into her hands. A sigh escapes her lips and she shakes her head.
"Please don’t do this."
"Al…"
"You’re tripping."
"I am not. Something’s different with her Alice."
Annoyed and aggravated, I pushed her hands away. She gazed over at me and couldn’t believe where our conversation was headed.
But, I had something to say.
"What’s wrong?"
"Well for starters, I think she messed up."
"How?"
"Fucking the carpenter."
"Candace?"
"No. Her name’s Jennifer Lopez."
Alice laughs in my face. And this hurt my feelings. I just found out that Candace lied to me. Her name wasn’t Jennifer Lopez. It was Candace fucking Jewel. How could she? I was angry.
"That little–"
"Hey, no swearing. Rule number two, never swear."
"Fuck the rules and screw this cafe. I’m mad."
"You should be. But, that doesn’t make Bette wrong here. I think she’s innocent."
"Right. You’d do anything to back your friend up."
"No. I’m just giving her the benefit of the doubt."
"And what if you’re wrong?"
"I’ll ah…I’ll mow your lawn."
Alice laughs and taps my thigh. She thinks she made a deal. Wrong!
"We don’t have a lawn."
The smile fades. And it wasn’t long before another one appears.
"I’ll water your garden. For a month."
"Three months straight. And, that includes turning over the soil every now and then."
Soaking with knowing that she lost. She rolls her eyes and raises her hand to meet mine.
"Deal."
Smiling, Marina approaches our table. She hands me my drink and collapses in a chair adjacent to me. She looks tired and drained. Something was happening to her and it was visible in her eyes.
"How’s the business?"
"Hectic. Where’s Bette?"
"I don’t know."
Fondling my fingers, I stand instantly from my chair. Alice and Marina eyes shot up to meet mine.

Hey, this is an interesting story cutefacethickwaist, and I really wanna know where you’re gonna take us with this. Will Bette find the courage to tell Tina what is going on in your story ? Well, I sure hope so… Anyway, nice job ! Please keep posting !
Great writing – please get B&T talking – they need each other. I always felt that Bette’s character was the first one that was ripped to shreads on the show. She would never have let her life fall apart like IC wrote it…Bette’s character was originally portrayed as a strong, brave and loyal woman that would take her committments and beliefs to her death. She never would have lost everything she loved to a ‘fling’ like they portrayed her to have done on the show. She also would have never taken a man to her and Tina’s bed – that one was really off base IC! OK…sorry…I’m done ranting for now! Anyway, thanks for writing CFTW!
Nice start but please dont break our hearts!
i am happy because you are back with another chapter but you have suffering with this!!!! i know you enjoy have us in the edge! the next please
Please let B&T talk and work thing out, this is sad. Ok post soon please, thanks!
This continues to be interesting! PPS
