Shane – Man, your friend is a pistol!
Alice – Stay away from Tina and you will be fine.
The hairdresser chuckles.
Shane – I intend to.
Alice – She was not really upset … just annoyed.
Shane – Really? I would hate to make her angry then.
Alice – She is not the easiest to befriend, but when you get to know her, you’ll see that she is just a teddy bear.
Shane looks at Bette and Tina dancing.
Shane – They look cute together …
Alice – Yeah … too damn cute!

Lesbian nightclub, night: Bette and Tina are still slow dancing.
Tina – Are you seriously jealous of me with a girl who is ten years younger than you?
The brunette smirks and tightens her embrace.
Bette – I just want everyone else to fuck off and leave you alone.
The blonde chuckles.
Tina – You want everyone else to know that I’m yours.
Bette – Is that a sin?
Tina – No … but I should be the one letting all the women know that you are taken.
Bette smiles mischievously.
Bette – Be my guest.
Tina – How about this?
She gives her girlfriend a long and passionate French kiss in the middle of the dancefloor, a hand stroking the brunette’s hair while the other is halfway inside the back pocket of her girlfriend’s jeans.
She breaks the kiss and smirks.
Tina – Is that good enough for you?
Bette opens her eyes full of desire and smiles seductively.
Bette – Not yet …
She wraps her hand around the blonde’s neck and gives her a steamy kiss.
Women around them take notice and gossip.

Lesbian nightclub, night: Bette and Tina come back from the dancefloor and sit next to Alice.
Alice – Wow … you know … there is a hotel down the street, if you are too needy to drive home.
The two girlfriends look at each other smiling.
Alice turns to the producer.
Alice – What happened? Shane left in a hurry!
The producer points to the brunette with her eyes and shakes her head.
Bette – Could you tell your friend to stop flirting with my girlfriend?
Alice – No need now … After that liplock, nobody is flirting with her!
The gallery owner winks at her girlfriend.
Tina laughs.

Shane! Great way to introduce her :-) Meg is right, Tina is full of love and adopts Shane right away as her little sister. I love how you put the gang together one by one. Btw I can’t remember if the show ever explained how Shane became Bette’s friend. Did they ever?
Tina is spending quite some time at Bette’s house. Nice how T + B seem to get closer naturally. “..and this is our bedroom.” Too cute!

I agree about Gec Q – i’m not watching but sometimes after their “news” i have a hard time even read Tibette’s story. And i may only guess how hard and uninspirid it can be for writers, who tried to write Tibette’s stories.
Sad.
I like that Tina is making friends with Shane. I am beginning to see Tina as a good judge of people. She sees the positive attributes in people and possibly the potential in individuals. I just hope that Bette will learn some of this as well.

Frickin’ Bette is too damn funny when it comes to Tina…especially in a bar!! She soon as burn a whole in anybody with a “lazor look” and not give 2 flips who has to parish!!! HeHeHe!!!!!
She ain’t likely to apologize about her alpha-ness when Tina is being pursued. Tho I think she may convince her to cut Shane some slack.
Tina knows all she has to do is tell Bette to “c’mere” with a soft southern drawl and she’ll settle down immediately.

Now that’s one of the loveliest answer I ever read in a fanfiction ! Simply lovely…
I always felt that our dearest Bette was deeply a romantic nature but her numerous emotional scars never let her feel safe enough to take the risk to love someone – until her soulmate appear in her life, Tina.
Bette is so the opposite of Shane, who is the only true womanizer and player of the gang.
She just didn’t believe in love because of her family, that’s all.
Great chapter again, I love your story so much !!
