Lesbian nightclub, night: Shane and Tina are slow dancing but are not too close and they are having a conversation.
Tina – That’s a good idea, Shane! After that course, you will be able to apply to a trendier place. Just keep focused on your goals.
Bette approaches them with an unfriendly look.
Bette – Excuse me …
They stop dancing and look at her surprised.
The producer grins and the hairdresser looks worried.
Tina – You came!
Her girlfriend turns to Shane with irritation.
Bette – Do you have a habit of dancing with people’s girlfriends or just my girlfriends?
The young hairdresser turns to the blonde with a pleading look.
Shane – Tina … I told you.
Tina – Bette, I invited her to dance.
The gallery owner looks at her and sighs.
Shane – Sorry, Bette …Tina said that it would be OK.
Bette speaks in a gentler tone.
Bette – May I dance with my girlfriend?
Shane – Absolutely!
Tina looks at Shane apologetically.
Tina – Thanks, Shane, for keeping me company! You are a sweetheart.
The hairdresser leaves and she smiles, pulling Bette into an embrace.
Tina – Come closer, hothead!
The gallery owner places her arms around the blonde’s waist, still pouting.
Tina – I said closer.
She clings to her girlfriend and nuzzles her neck.
Bette closes her eyes and they start dancing.
Tina – I didn’t think you would come.
Bette – I had a suspicion that my girlfriend was dancing with other women.
The blonde smiles teasingly.
Tina – Are you going to break up with me and tell me to fly away with Peter Pan?
The gallery owner chuckles.
Bette – Not a chance! You are not flying away that easily!
Tina – Did you have to be mean to her? She is very sweet and respectful. You should apologize to her.
Bette – Don’t think that she is innocent. That girl has fucked more women than you, Alice and I combined!
Tina – It doesn’t matter how many women she or anyone else has fucked.
She whispers into the brunette’s ear.
Tina – No one could make me come the way you do.
A smile appears on Bette’s face.
Bette – They could never fuck you. Period!

Shane! Great way to introduce her :-) Meg is right, Tina is full of love and adopts Shane right away as her little sister. I love how you put the gang together one by one. Btw I can’t remember if the show ever explained how Shane became Bette’s friend. Did they ever?
Tina is spending quite some time at Bette’s house. Nice how T + B seem to get closer naturally. “..and this is our bedroom.” Too cute!

I agree about Gec Q – i’m not watching but sometimes after their “news” i have a hard time even read Tibette’s story. And i may only guess how hard and uninspirid it can be for writers, who tried to write Tibette’s stories.
Sad.
I like that Tina is making friends with Shane. I am beginning to see Tina as a good judge of people. She sees the positive attributes in people and possibly the potential in individuals. I just hope that Bette will learn some of this as well.
Peter Pan – that was a hilarious reference. Its very hard to write humor. But this was good…

Frickin’ Bette is too damn funny when it comes to Tina…especially in a bar!! She soon as burn a whole in anybody with a “lazor look” and not give 2 flips who has to parish!!! HeHeHe!!!!!
She ain’t likely to apologize about her alpha-ness when Tina is being pursued. Tho I think she may convince her to cut Shane some slack.
Tina knows all she has to do is tell Bette to “c’mere” with a soft southern drawl and she’ll settle down immediately.

Now that’s one of the loveliest answer I ever read in a fanfiction ! Simply lovely…
I always felt that our dearest Bette was deeply a romantic nature but her numerous emotional scars never let her feel safe enough to take the risk to love someone – until her soulmate appear in her life, Tina.
Bette is so the opposite of Shane, who is the only true womanizer and player of the gang.
She just didn’t believe in love because of her family, that’s all.
Great chapter again, I love your story so much !!
