“There was no ‘we’ in that judgment,” Tina laughed.
“Whatever you say, flirty.”
“Bette! You’re totally the player here.”
The word ‘player’ caused Bette to flinch. At some point in time, she’d have to share her past reputation with Tina. ‘Jesus! The last thing I need is for Alice to babble incessantly to Tina about my past!’
Bette realized that now was definitely not the time to partake in that conversation. “I’m a woman who knows what I want and pursues until I get it.”
“Really?” Tina raised her eyebrow at Bette. “And what is it you want?”
“You.” Bette answered without a moment’s hesitation.
Tina grinned slightly. “And are you pursuing?”
Bette focused intently on Tina and flashed her sly smile. “Pursuing like you wouldn’t believe.”
“And will you get what you want?”
Bette took a moment before answering and crossed her fingers. “Still to be determined…but I’d say it’s looking pretty damn optimistic.”
“Cocky, aren’t you?” Tina teased.
“Ugh.” Bette shook her head. “Poor choice of vocabulary, Tee.”
Tina laughed. “Sorry.”
“I’d like to refer to it as…confidence.”
“Good thing I like confident women.”
“Oh, so now you are into women?”
Tina immediately answered. “No.”
Bette’s heart sank and she realized it was much too soon to assume what Tina was thinking or feeling. “Oh…”
“Not into women…just one woman.” Tina answered honestly.
“Very interesting.” Bette’s heart instantly bounced back to its prior giddy state. “I’d love to hear the details about this one particular woman sometime.”
Tina shrugged her shoulders and nonchalantly replied, “Yeah…sometime.”
Bette chuckled and gestured for Tina to sample the desserts.
Tina took a forkful of the flambéed dessert and moaned in delight. “Oh, God! This is outstanding.”
Bette swallowed hard in hearing the beautiful blonde’s reaction. ‘Please Tee…don’t moan like that!’ Bette decided to down the remaining champagne in her flute and focus on something…anything…but the thought of having Tina Kennard as her dessert. Bette proceeded to examine the bowl of strawberries and selected the perfect one from the bunch.
“You have to try this,” Tina said excitedly.
Before Bette could argue, Tina had a forkful of the dessert waiting to place in Bette’s mouth. Bette opened her mouth and Tina gently fed her.

Hello my friend – thanks for the remote – I promise to keep it where you can get at it :) I wish IC had given us more than the crap she gave us. We never really had B&T talking about their feelings at all – just little bits here and there sigh! And please don’t get me started on Season 6 – worse worse one next to season 3. Sigh! Anyways, this was a great chapter roomie. Love the dessert that was served up here and the kisses where Hot!hot! hot! man what a variety and I can’t wait to see the other great selections there are :) What can I say you can so write, girl:). Thank you again and if you don’t mind I would stick to that homemade apple pie. :)
