Helena knocked on a bright blue door. A young man walked past her and down the stairs of the apartment building. The door opened. Gillian stood on the other side.

“Hey sis.” Gillian said. Helena hugged her.

“Well I’m glad to see you got settled in.” Helena looked around at Gillian’s pimped out loft.

    “Yeah.” Gillian smiled.

“Well are you going out with us tonight or what?” Helena looked around.

“I don’t know. I’ve got class in the morning.” Gillian said.

“And how is tonight different than any other night? You’ve been hitting the club scene on a nightly basis from what I hear.” Helena looked at Gillian was dressed to go out.

“Yeah I forget how weho is with gossip.” Gillian said.

“Well you have to come out with me tonight.” Helena said.

“And why is that?” Gillian said.

“Because you’ve been home almost 6 months and I’ve hardly seen you.” She said.

    “I’ve been busy.” Gillian said.

“No you’ve been avoiding.” Helena got to the point.

“What if I have? I don’t see the point in drudging up the past.” Gillian walked over to the closet and pulled out a pair of shoes.

“Fine. Don’t come.” Helena threw her hands in the air and headed for the door.

“Wait. I’ll come but don’t expect much.” Gillian slid her shoes on. Helena smiled like she was up to something and she was.

    ***********

“Victoria get in here this minute.” Tina yelled. Someone had painted and colored all over one of the walls in her office.

“What’s going on?” Bette followed Victoria into the room.

“Did you do this?” Tina pointed to the wall. Victoria looked at it and then at her moms and lied through her teeth.

    “No” She said.

“If you didn’t then who did?” Tina asked.

    “Quin.” The little girl said.

“I don’t think so.” Bette said.

    “Zach?” Victoria asked.

“Neither one of them are tall enough to reach some of this.” Tina said.

“Well maybe it was me, but I don’t remember.” Victoria said boldly.

“Well how about your grounded until you can remember. No TV no video games. Now go to your room.” Bette ordered.

    “But!!” She huffed.

“No Buts. Go.” Tina said. Victoria huffed and walked away slamming her bedroom door.

“That child. She’s ten times worse that Gillian ever was.” Tina said.

“We’ll work it out, everything will be fine.” Bette wrapped her arms around Tina.

“I know its just frustrating.” Tina said.

Gillian hit the bottom of the stairs of her loft. Helena was pacing talking furiously in french on the phone.

“You coming or not?” Gillian said.

“Yes. Just take care of it.” Helena hung up the phone. “What did you say?” She asked.

“Are you coming or not? I’m ready to get the fundraiser and then leave.” Gillian said.

“Yes I’m coming and you look smoking hot by the way.” Helena said. Gillian smiled.

“You don’t look half bad yourself sis.” Gillian pulled open the heavy sliding door and Helena walked past her.
