“Stupid workshop, ruined all my plans and now I have to wait god knows how long to see her.”

“I don’t get it why can’t she just come down and see you?”

“She’s finally staging her own show and well she has to be available, for any emergency she has construction going on at the museum and meetings 24/7.  As it is she had to rearrange all her schedule just to be able to spend Friday with me”

“Tina, don’t get mad ok, I like Bette I didn’t at first but I see how much she means to you and how much you mean to her you two have this thing, this bond, but it seems to me that lately you’re the one having to adjust her schedule to be with her, you seem to be the one making a lot of sacrifices for her, giving up things in your life that you should be enjoying to be with her. You know spending time with your friends here, gatherings, college clubs, you know college stuff, are you sure you’re not going to regret that later?”

Tina thought for a while.

“I don’t consider being with her a sacrifice. Shane I get what you’re saying but it’s so much easier for me to make the necessary adjustments to be with her, because of her work her commitments. I have so much more down time besides I just don’t see her partying at a frat party or doing beer chugs, it’s easier for me to fit in with her friends, Dana and Alice are great they’re so much fun, you would so get along with Alice she’s a blast.”

Tina ran her hands through her hair.

“I don’t know Shane I’m so bummed, everything sucks right now”

“Not everything, you got the internship and that’s an accomplishment Tina, you should be proud it’s going to open doors for Tina. Give you opportunities you probably wouldn’t have otherwise.”

“I know I’m so excited really I am”

Just then Tina computer signaled she had an incoming e-mail Tina clicked on the icon to open it. She let out a scream and started jumping up and down in excitement.

“Tina, what’s going on? Have you finally gone mad?”

“It’s been postponed, it’s been postponed”

“Tina what are you talking about?”

“The Workshop, the internship workshop has been postponed until the following weekend the director of the workshop had a family emergency”

“I’m going to see Bette, I’m going to see Bette” Tina did a little dance Shane started laughing at her friend.

“Well what are you waiting for aren’t you going to call Bette?”

“Yeah I am”

 “No, better I’m going to surprise her, I’m going to call Alice she’ll help me”

“But what if she makes other plans?”

“No Bette told me Alice and Dana are bullying her to go out to dinner with them and then dancing to this cool club called Toxic”

“I’ll just surprise her”

“Hey why don’t you and Carmen come along, you guys can meet Alice and Dana we can dance the night away at Toxic it’s a really cool club”

“Tina you forget were still underage”

“Don’t worry about that I know the guy at the door Max he’ll let us all in”

“Tina…..”

“Shane I know what you’re going to say it will be my treat, I’ve always wanted to spend a weekend at the Plaza we can enjoy the spa there it will be so much fun”

“Tina I can’t let you do that”

“Shane I insist I have money I might as well spend some of it right?”

Shane smiled

“I’m going to call Alice and get her on board; oh my God Bette’s going to be so excited.”
