    Starting to get to the heart of the matter.

    Tina pulled herself off the floor. She went to the bathroom to wash her face. She didn’t want Bette to see her in that state. They would have many moments to come she was sure, where Bette would see her fall apart, she didn’t need to see it as soon as she walked back into the house.

     

    Bette arrived at the Planet, and went to directly to Kit’s office. She avoided looking around the caf so she wouldn’t have to make contact with any of their friends right now.

    Knocking on the office door, Bette opened the door upon Kit answering back. Kit was laying propped up on the couch with Angelica laying across her chest fast asleep. Kit continued humming to her soothingly.

    Not getting up, she motioned for Bette to sit in one of the chairs adorning the room. In a steady soft voice so as not to wake the baby, she asked Bette how she was.

    “I’m okay. Tina told me you gave her the keys to your apartment.” silence ensued this comment.

    “It’s okay Kit, I ‘m not mad. You did the right thing.” smiling, Bette reassured a worried looking Kit.

    “We needed to start working on these issues, and Tina doing what she did was just a huge indicator that we haven’t been dealing with any of it.” sadly Bette looks away. “We have both become masters at avoidance, not just of the issues we should be dealing with, but avoiding each other as well. We haven’t been intimate physically, or emotionally for so long, I think we are both afraid we won’t be able to please each other, or support each other any more.” sighs Bette.

    “Look Baby sis, You need to take this little darling home, and tuck her in. Then you need to go tell Tina everything you just told me. You need to find forgiveness for her foolishness, and for yours. You both need to forgive each other and get on with living. Life is too short to have a pissing match everyday with the one you love most in the world. And you two do love each other. There is no question there.”

    “If you could have seen Tina today when she came in here looking for you. She was a like a lioness on a hunt. She wasn’t leaving until she found out where you were, and if you were okay. I fought with her about the keys, but she told me she would take me out, sister or not if I didn’t hand them over. I have never seen her like that. She scared me a little bit.” Kit said seriously.

    3. I wholehardly agree with B&TF if this is the only place we will see them act like adults and someone who wants to work it out, I would rather read than watch the show. Pls keep writing we all need this for the weeks to come!

    8. Bette’s right in that the hard part is yet to come. Facing the issues head-on and recalling the memories won’t be easy. But with enough love and faith they can get through it.

    9. Finally a moment of clarity in all of this disarray. They both know they need help to finally learn why and how to forgive each other and themselves. Please continue.
