Bette reached over to take Tina’s hand.

“T? We have a lot wrong with us.” she said. “Individually and as a couple. I don’t know your reasons for all of this. The stuff on the computer and everything, and I don’t know if you even know why yet. But before we do or say anything else, can you answer this for me? Are you done with all that now?

Tina looked into Bette’s eyes as she answered. “Never again Bette. Never. I promise on our daughter’s life. Never again. Um, actually the computer is in like a million pieces on the floor in the bedroom right now. I never want to touch it again.”

“That’s a good start T. A very good start. What do you say we go home to our daughter, and work on this together? As a family, as friends, and hopefully as lovers at some point.”

” I’ll race you home babe!” was Tina’s answer.

    CH 4

Tina arrived at the house before Bette, as Bette was going to pick up Angelica on her way.

She walked in the front door, and felt a huge wave of grief engulf her. All that she had done hit her in a torrent of emotions, and she sank to the floor, she curled up as she cried out her fears and her guilt. She knew they were far from being okay, and she knew it was going to take everything they both had to fix all that was wrong, and all that was to be. She just hoped she had the strength and the patience and the courage to face it all. She knew she was on her way though. She knew that last night, as it all came tumbling down upon her, that her road to forgiving Bette had a lot more miles behind her than in front of her. She knew that the journey to them being”together”had been started, and that they would have to make the trip as much together as they would on their own separate paths.

Tina knew they weren’t even close to being perfect, as all of their friends thought them to be as a couple. And trying to live up to that standard had a small part in tearing them apart. The mirage of “Bette and Tina” had to be replaced by just Bette and Tina. And Tina knew how much she had to prove to Bette that she could be trusted again. If Bette’s dream was any indication of what Bette thought was going on, or if Bette even thought Tina would go that far, then she needed to work immediately on building that trust back .

    1. I wholehardly agree with B&TF if this is the only place we will see them act like adults and someone who wants to work it out, I would rather read than watch the show. Pls keep writing we all need this for the weeks to come!

    2. Bette’s right in that the hard part is yet to come. Facing the issues head-on and recalling the memories won’t be easy. But with enough love and faith they can get through it.

    3. Finally a moment of clarity in all of this disarray. They both know they need help to finally learn why and how to forgive each other and themselves. Please continue.
